Thanks for the tips guys, the fish turned out great.

I cooked several cuts of salmon, and sprinkled lemon juice and pepper on them, turned out great.

Maybe I need to post a pic of myself, I actually look like a woman, not like those ones who you can tell off the bat they're dudes..

I'm not in any documentary that I'm aware of KC, but given how much I tend to ramble on about zombies I suppose anything is possiable. ( Quick OT side note, if your looking for good zombie documentaries I recomend Zombiemania and Documentary of The Dead.)

Has anyone ever tried grilled squid? It's actually one of the few things you don't want to put anything on.

Never had grilled squid, but I've consumed a ton of beer battered and fried squid with spicy dipping sauce.

To be honest, I'm only attracted to girls, I find that female form in itself is beautiful. I love women and everything in their appearance, I collect anime figures of girls, I love their shapes, large breast or no, all women are beautifal in one way or another.

I love the sound of that, the texture of squid and octopus is delightful.

When I lived in russia, my mama would make a salad with octopus, squid and shrimp, mixed with cabbage and vinegar, sounds gross, but, as child, I enjoyed it.

Squid Calamari then?

But grill squid , try to not over cook them , ( just enough to not get parasites, but i rather eat them raw! )

and the sauce:

Sashimi soysauce ( these have no aroma compared to kikoman ) grated ginger , drop of red vinegar , drops of mirin , drop of lemon juice.

Its going to alittle bit bitter and tugs your tongue but its a good tug!

Women are beautiful creatures indeed :3 They have so many sensitive spots that respond in different ways to the male form.

Attempting to straddle both topics, I like my burgers somewhat rare. People tend to love when I make them because I chop up stuff very finely and mix it in (jalapenos, bacon) to give it, ya know, actual flavor.

I LOVE wasabi with squid..

You know what else is good? Mexico salad, where you mix boiled octopus, imitation crab, shrimp, jalapenos, cilantro and minced red onions.

Yes Luna, Calamari..I absolutely love the stuff, and the spicier the better.
That "Mexico salad" sounds pretty good as well, though I'd use real crab meat if I ever tried to make it.

You can use real crab, but the flavor of imitation crab is a bit different than real crab, just slightly.

Personally I find the flavor differance between real and imitation crab to be very noticable ...but that could simply be due to the fact that I grew up in a very "seafood oriented" city amd have been eating crab for as long as I can remember.
Would the use of real crab improve the flavor of "Mexican salad" or is it better wit imitation?...or would it simply be a matter of preferance?

It''s not "bad" , I just prefer real crab.

Ah, i look at them as 2 completely different things,
they dont taste anything alike lol, so i dont substitute any between the 2

All preference, you can replace the octopus with squid too, if you like, you can use both, the only vital thing is you have tentacle mollusk, shrimp, and the jalapenos, onions, and cilantro. My mama uses seviche when she make hers.

I just recently had my first taste of squid of some fancy oriental restaurant. I was shocked at how good that was. I ended up eating a gak load of the stuff. But mostly, Im not a fan of seafood, shrimp is good but other then that I cant stand the stuff. I must of been an islander in some distant life

Saw something new to me on Food Network.... Calamari steak.

Found this somewhere online.....

Calamari steaks are usually known as "Grande Calamari" (or sometimes, "Humboldt Squid"). It is the squid body cut into segments and flattened. Many cooks will limit the natural curling by diagonal cuts on the outside of the body. The thin membrain when heated will contract and cause curling. Some cooks also lightly pound the steak with a tenderizing mallet, but gently. It is critical to cook VERY fast, about one minute each side, if that. Not a bad idea to test one steak to see how long is ideal.

May give it a try...... supposed to have a Whole Foods opening around here soon.

Calamari steaks are really good. I haven't had one grilled but I know they're good if you bread and pan fry them.

Of course the pics get culled by the mods... but it'll usually take a day or two... enough to get mouth's watering on the thread anyway. ;-)

Heavy week at work..... plus temps so high that wouldn't need to light a fire to cook.... just put the meat in the grill and close the lid.
