ill join that hate, and raise it one rage.

invader zim was epic. the dark harvest episode was very strange though....

I'm up there with you guys, Zim was it back when it was on TV (still is in my opinion)

though, Dark Harvest doesn't even compare to the pot induced writing of their Christmas special...

Oh, right, hating on humanity.....uhhhhhhh.....fanatics....any sort of fanatic makes me lose hope for humanity when I see and or listen to them, it doesn't matter if they're religious, political, whatever...

I try to be understanding of others, because I am all too aware of my own faults, but it's hard. Certain people like to act as if they are much smarter, cooler or more worthy than they really are, and I don't have the airfare to travel to whatever bridge they live under and blow it to smithereens. And why did I stop drinking again?

Why? Ever worked in customer services? Ever had a 'customer' having a go at you on the phone, talking over you, because they know you just have to sit their and take it? It's ridiculous. Yet society, for some reason, demands that we be good as gold, just because money has changed hands. Why shouldn't I, when a customer is being stroppy and pushy for the sake of it, be allowed to simply say 'look mate, you're being a dick, and you're trying my patience. Go and read your fething policy, like you should have BEFORE you signed up to it, forming a legally binding contract. You will find, surprise surprise, that once again I am correct, and you are wrong. I don't give a flying proverbial WHAT your friend who is apparently a solicitor has told you, for he too is wrong.'

No, I have to sit there, and suck it up, trying to get a word in edge ways. People. Are. Scum. Simple. As soon as they think they can get away with it, they will be a knobend to you. Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoy my job, I'm an argumentative sod with a firm grasp of the English language (despite this posts inevitable spelling mistakes and grammatical errors). I make a point of learning what I need to to be right, especially in my professional life. But some people seriously, seriously try your patience. And all because for some unknown reason, we're just expected to be mindlessly polite and subservient, even when talking to a brainless moron incapable of accepting that they are wrong.

ADDENDUM. Might have come across as the very sort I was having a pop at. This isn't entirely accurate. Treat me with respect, and you'll get it back. When calling me at work to discuss your claim, please accept that being paid to do this, I will generally know more than you do. But treat me like a witch, and I demand the right to talk to you like a witch. The majority of my client's are perfectly reasonable people, and indeed, even when they aren't, I'm noted in my team for being able to defuse possible complaints before they really kick off. But trust me, some people just want to kick up a fuss, seemingly under the impression that if the piss me off enough, then their Policy Wording will magically change into whatever they want it to be. The worst....'I'm sorry sir, but you have chosen Third Party Fire and Theft cover. This means that we would not look to deal with your repairs directly. I have emailed you the details of the Third Party Insurer, you will have to claim through them'. 'WHAT! THIS IS DISCRIMINATION! WHAT DO I PAY YOU FOR? HOW DARE YOU NOT REPAIR MY VEHICLE! DO YOU TREAT PEOPLE WITH FULLY COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE LIKE THIS? I THINK NOT! I DEMAND YOU REPAIR MY VEHICLE' 'Sir, you are correct, I would arrange the repairs to your vehicle if your policy was Fully Comprehensive. That is what Fully Comprehensive Insurance means, and why it costs more. As I stated earlier (repeat the bit about TPFT cover'. 'GRAAHA!!!!!I'MANUNREASONABLEARSEHOLEANDI'MGOINGTOGOTOTHEFOSANDTHEPRESSANDTHEQUEENANDI'LLSEEYOUSACKED'

Why do I have to put up with this?

TLDR, but was happy to skim.

I've done customer service for eight hours a day over telephone. Yelled at, screamed at, talked down to. I've had jobs stuffing envelopes. I've worked doing community outreach going door to door in "drug dens". Jack of all trades, I suppose. So yes, and I once felt as you did. But read some Nietzsche or something, and kinda toughen up a bit. I don't care for most people I see in the street, and don't want to know them. I think to place a general hatred towards humanity in your situation is a bit absurd. It seems it's the job and the various inequalities present in capitalism, not something with "people".

I have a job now which involves teaching the most difficult and violence prone students in an entire urban school district. I get spat on, assaulted and threatened daily (but they still learn the academics!). Today, I did an hour of restraints on a child, all the while he tried to bite me finger off. Do I find such things frustrating? Yes. Do I go home, carry it with me and feel like honking my horn extra hard if somebody cuts me off? Sometimes. But playing the pity me game is so fething old. I perhaps am fortunate in being able to find a type of life affirming joy in my work, but you can tell me you have a "hard job" when a teenager has tried to hit you in the head with a hammer. I have dear friends who are scraping by and in debt just to do jobs they love, (myself included), refusing to run the rat race. A little bit of personal agency wouldn't hurt...

ALSO, IF I WAS YOUR BOSS (SORRY NOT A PIG CAPITALIST BUREAUCRAT JUST THEORETICAL), I'D FIRE YOU ALL FOR YOUR DISDAIN FOR THE CUSTOMER

Dude, wasn't be angsty about the job, I actually enjoy my role. It's just I genuinely don't get why society expects me to just sit there and take it, when a quick 'stfu and listen to me you knobend' could speed things along nicely!

Heh, I like the idea of firing people for having disdain for the customer. There's one shop that'd have a seriously high turnover.

Funnily enough I was at court today...so yeah. The guys who were being convicted were alright (oh my god people get charged for the most minor things), it was the bloody lawyers that made me just want to kill everything in the room (bad choice in a court mind). Eugh, those guys are probably the most slimey, two faced people I've ever had to expeiriance- hell one of them was commiting more crimes than any of the accused, least according to the guy sitting next to me (apparently every go drug dealer gets represented by that guy). Anyhow, it felt really good to called the guy just what he was a few times today, hey everyone else was doing it (and no, these were normal people, the wannabe gangster was to my right). ¬¬

Can't believe this thread turned into a Blood for Blood discussion. I saw them when they were at their "peak" so to speak, and it was the most terrifying thing as a 16 year old. I gave one of those records a spin a few months ago...OOOF.

Forever alone

I've never favoured cynicism, nor do I have any desire to pin the blame for my bad experiences on the rest of humanity. People can be selfish, petty and cruel, but a better future will always be worth fighting for.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
