I meant that he probably couldn't, it isn't 100% certain yet. Sorry for the confusion Grimgob.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

A lot of Dark Angels this year! I remember going to the semis last year and being the only one...

-More results for socal:

1st - Blood Angels (with Meph)
2nd - Black Templars (Alpha Strike) [Possibly Dropping from semi-finals]
3rd - Tyranids (Me; Stock Tyrant with Guard, 2x Trygons, 2x Fexes, 4x Zoans, 3x Hive Guard, 50x Genestealers)

[4th - Eldar (Foot list)]

Had a rough round one against the fourth place Eldar player - relying on warp blast with runes of warding up is rough, and fortuned inv saves on the traitor was too much for just one squad of HG. Fun scenario, though.

Didn't have any trouble with marines though; genestealers were as scary as always to watch, especially in the DoW scenario.

One finals location up north and one location down south. So everyone that played in Brea, Temecula, SanDiego, Burbank, Pasadena, and a few other locations (about 30 people altogether) will be playing at Pasadena.

SoCal looks like this so far:
Orks 4
Space wolves 4
Nids 2
Dark Angels 2
Dark Eldar
Eldar
Blood Angels

But there are like 4 or 5 locations that havnt posted results yet.

Found results for GMI in another thread down in Battle Reports...

I placed 5th with my Battlewagon orks only because I played the guy that placed 1st in the final round (I was in 2nd at that time b4 the game started). He just so happened to be one of the best players in the nation (he is on games workshops site for it).

I had a great time can't wait to see how my orks do next year

At the Warhouse in Long Beach, first and second went to blood angels, and third went to Deathwing. I took fourth with Tyranids, and am going on to the semis, as I was the only one in the store interested in doing so.

Not sure if people know or not ,but i just called empire games(La second round place) and they are taking all your information(name ,where you placed, army .ect) and verifying it . That is how second round is working this year.So everyone who placed should call their location to make sure you dont have any problems the 17th.

I'm jealous of your GK-free environment down there. My Tyranids do not like them.

Have to say that all the games were close with only 2 massacres in 9 games the rest were minor wins or losses. In the third round it was still wide open. A great day of gaming and fantastic oponents.

Cheers all.. lets see the Toronto players at Black Knight next month!

We had a ton of GKs. rednekgunner (who got second at our location) ended up playing 3 games against GK. It was kind of hilarious. Obviously they were not all winners though.

I indeed got a massacre. I however doubt I would have an easy time against Reece.

On the other hand, I will be wearing a robe to the next round.
