Running two Manticores and a squadron of LRBT w/ HB and HB Sponsons in addition to some Platoon Bubblewrap around a core of Vendettas and Chimeltas worked out amazingly well.
Tried a SW squad with 3 Demo Charges, Round 1 they killed 9 BT Termies, and ID'd a Marshall. Round 2 they ate about 5 Gargoyles, they wiffed hard here. Round 3 they took out 9 Genestealers after doing 23 wounds.

Everything went very smoothly with my slightly errata'd rules. Dark eldar managed to pull out a win by focusing on victory points and not getting too distraught when he lost units. Kill expensive stuff, thats alll that mattered

Thanks. I was 6 points behind first...so it was a hard fought tournament.
After a first round lose, I thought I was out of it.

My strongest gun is strength 6 and I'm facing 3 LRC in a BT list.
I do have 18 models with Melti bombs so I'm looking for some HTH combat with tanks.

1. Space Wolves (TWC, 3 maxed out squads of GH, meltacide WG in pod, plasmacide WG in pod, 1 squad of Long Fangs, 10 Wolf Scouts with Melta, PP, and MB) This was PythNutD on Capture and Control
2. Grey Knights (Crowe, Libby, 3x Purifiers in Rhino, 1x Purifiers in SR, 1 SR for Crowe, 2 Ven Psyflemen dreads. This was Sand on Capture and Control.
3. Space Wolves (Njal, RP, 3x GH in Rhino, 2xGH in RB, 3x LF, 2x Dreads with PC, 3x Speeders) This was me.
4. Orks (Battlewagons, Ghaz, 9 Deffcoptas) this was Darrian13, I listed him because Sand may not make Sept due to College etc.

Tyranid player for almost 10 years. He had a variation on the old 'Nidzilla list. I dont have the specific list in front of me, but it was something like this:

3 Trygon, 3 Tervs (as troops), 3 maxed out hive guard units, 3 big gaunt units, tyrant with maxed guard.

He was one of those left field, nobody saw it coming lists. (that and he knows the list inside and out).

Nids have never shown poorly in Ard Boyz. They won a bunch of events last year in the prelims.
