Thanks everyone for the positive feedback Vier, it will be the same. The only spot color is the red. Im really trying to sell a Hoth vibe here...i want the whole model white. It'll look colder and its more of a challenge for me

Here's another update. A little more detail on Snori

I tried to paint a glowing effect in his helmet but the eyeslits are so deep that the natural shadow makes it too dark. I gave up on it and now the paint is so thick there I'm afraid to do anything else. Speaking of thick paint, I tried the lightning scheme on his armor and that came out quite lackluster. The globs of white are way too thick.

Painting polished bronze. Anyone got any advice or tutorials? I need to google some. I am fairly happy with the bronze color but not with the detail. I have been trying NMM on some other stuff but I wasnt ready to try it on Snori. I need to find a good way to pick out the detail on his cepter and armor without using silver as I think that will make the bronze look to bright and golden.

You can see my poorly GSd fur on his back. I am working on a sort of gradient here to make it less apparent where the origianla fur ends and my GS fur begins.


Any input you guys have would be great, I can see from yall's posts that pretty much everyone here has some serious talent I can learn from.

Anyway, got a little adventurous and decided to try to some little galaxy things in the background of the standard, and I think they came out very nicely I like the gold and his eyes too, tell me what you guys think! Well, what state is the model in? I'd like previously started models to be no further than modelled, i.e. no primer or paint. That is so pictures of the conversion can be put in the modelling thread.

Loving every bodies' progress, I should have some pics up today (was meant to have some yesterday but forgot )

Vik those steam punk termis are really taking shape. In my mind, my creative nerve is telling me it wants to paint one, if just for those big shoulder pad panels used as visors. Man, what a great canvas you are creating here!

It's in a state of yet unfinished conversion, so it's not primed. Actually, i was talking about THIS model.

Ok so I lied...
I wont be doing True/Art Scale Alpha Legionaries....
I'm doing a squad of 5 Flesh Tearers Assault Marines in True/Art Scale of course!

Here is the start of the group.
I'll be building 3 more assault squads (maybe more), a Death Company squad (maybe more again hahaha), Lemartes, Astorath, a Librarian, CM Seth, and a few Contemptor dreads to count as normal "Biggerized" dreads/Death Company dreads in game and a bunch of drop pods. in a pare tree....
Still need to finish some of the legs, bulking and adding bionics...
And bulking out chests as well.
Jump packs are blu-tacked for show.

I'm using some old art scale models I abandoned a while ago as well as buiding some new ones.
Figure this would be a nice distraction until I begin serious work on my Carcharodons for Adepticon 2012!
