should be doing more work on it today, didn't get any done yesterday as I was at GW, playing a game with my friend (I'm really having trouble getting used to demons )

Woot! I think I've fianlly Finished Knightley's GMS Marine! Should hopefully be getting it sent in the next week or 2 (hopefully sooner than later )
So far it looks like Pastel Daemons is the way to go, but I'd still like opinions on which of the 3 choices is the way to go!

Also, I've entered Papa and Panda's Competition.
I was originally planning to enter the KoS I started work on (that's what the clawed arm was on the last page if you hadn't guessed it) but now I'm think of entering a herald, either the one converted from the banshee & seeker chariot kits, or a new one I'm working on! (pics below)

Anyway, with my still-terrible camera skills, pics of Knightley's GMS marine and WIP on my Slaanesh Herald!

Also below is a comparison of the 3 times I've painted the Hunter Eagle's Chapter Symbol, just to show I've definately got better at freehand brushwork in the time I've spent painting Knightley's GMS marine!

Ah, another whore of slaanesh has noticed how vampire counts make great deamonettes/female inquisitors.
But really i do love it when someone converts whf models successfully into 40k, just so awesome you know. Great success.

Slowly getting better with my camera skills

First game with the new daemons today, vs BA vs CSM.

I went from nearly loosing to absolutely owning them

Warp Storm isn't too bad, rarely did anything the entire game!

No, seriously, the worst it did was lower my Invun saves by 1... that's it.

My opponents learnt a good lesson, Heralds with Beguilement and Greater Etherblades are bad to get in combat with.... :evilgrin:

Hopefully more updates soon, unsure, though. Working on painting a daemonette squad.

I really need a soulgrinder... I really do...

That's a really cool conversion. Much better than the standard GW herald. She must really stand out amongst the troops. The highlites and shading on the face seen particularly impressive. It's looks like she is wearing eye liner and eye shadow!

Hello again everyone, I'm back with an update!

I've entered Comrade and Papa's Round 4 :The Brotherhood round and I've decided on entering some Emperor's Children Chosen... with a command-squad esque look.
So there will be a Champion, an Apothecary etc. As well as a vox operator, because why not!

Little mock-up of the vox operater below. C&C? Deciding whether to give him a buckler or not.

I've started work on painting the Vox CSM, should have pics soon, still need to finish painting his left arm, backpack/vox and plasma gun.

Well, he's not done but I may as well show you all where I'm at with painting the vox officer!

Also I've made a new herald, this time on a steed. the arms are from the Hellstriders box,they were a bit large but I managed to trim them down.

I'll need to either make or buy a bike base, or maybe I'll just leave the current base... but she's down below to.

Hello again! back with an update!

Along with pics of the Alluress I meant to take photos of a while ago, and of the work I've done painting the chosen legio vox, about 1 fortnight ago the wargaming group I'm part of had our monthly meet.
2nd game with the new daemons trying a different list (with the new herald, too, so 3 heralds in total)

I lost, with my opponent (necrons) getting 8 victory points and me only getting 5, most of which I got in the last turn (again, purge the alien... we always seem to roll that mission)

For the most part, the units were the same. KoS kept his his base mastery level, all alluresses, exalted alluresses and heartseekers had 1 lesser gift, no seeker chariot (only an exalted)

Main change was the daemon prince, upgraded him to be a level 3 psyker rolling on biomancy hoping to get iron arm, didn't get it but he was still a beast. Next time I'll probably only upgrade him to be level 1.
Also tried out Excess on a level 2 herald, wasn't too bad. Cacophnic choir and pavane were rolled, pavane being switched to lash.

Never even used choir once... next time I'll probably leave the herald at level 1 for excess

All in all, a fun game. Seekers were useless, though...




Anyway... after making the seeker herald, I have 4 spare steed bodies left... Deciding whether I want more seekers or if I should just convert them into fiend, or leave them for later
Fiend conversion idea below (not my models!):


Though there is another fiend conversion I'd like to do, using nid raveners, similar to this (but probably with steed heads, unsure) (not my model!):

Wicked nice looking stuff. The conversions are very smooth, and the painting is very clean.

Hmm, guess you could try the fiend conversion.

Nice work, Matt. I really like the color you've got going. The purplish pink iscdifferent. I also like the line of pale blue down the middle of the claws on the Daemonette.

As for the fiends, I like the second idea better (but I've never really liked those seeker models).

No pictures as I've been busy of late, have painted, though (yes, I know, pics or t didn't happen ), but I'll wait 'till I fix my chosen. I highlighted him in too-bright a colour so I now have to go back and fix him.

Also started painting the seeker herald, will try to get pics this afternoon (my time) or early tomorrow...

Ok, got some shots of the Herlad. Amazingly the only 2 good shots I got were from behind her... I've gotten the best pic of her front too but it's a bit blurry

Also a blurry pic of a converted autocannon for my chosen and of the Exalted Seeker Chariot, made a few adjustments too it (removed the third platform and 2 of the steeds)

Anyways looking good so far, that chariot is always so much better without the other platform on it. Too crowded.

Ok, sorry for not posting in a while, real life is busy (assignments and all) but I have done some work.

For those of you that don't know, I've entered Git's Mantis Maker Challenge. I posted pics a while ago on his blog but here are pics again here for completeness' sake:


I've started to paint his up, pics at the end. Also working on the second chosen... need to finish him (and then base him and his friend) in 5 days for the comp... not hard, heh...

Then there's pics of a Chaos Lord conversion I've just started work on, though I think it looks too much like the base model (Sigvald the Magnificent), what do you think?
