The Johnny Horton reference is appreciated, as I almost thought that music was lost to the world.

I find it all the more hilarious for having family on both sides of the battle of New Orleans. I can see my ancestors grabbing the gator..

'you come here now! Come right here now and open up, you hear! Unclench, gator! '

Johhny Horton is awesome.

I eagerly wait seeing the chaos-ified, noise marine version of that speeder. Preferably with leopard prints and 80's hair.

Someone needs to do it. No idea what it could be fielded as though...

It's a landing pad right? Good.

Now tell me. Once you land there, how exactly do you get off the pad?

No elevator, no ramp, no stairs and if there's a ladder there I'm not seeing it. So it's a landing pad WITH NO WAY ON OR OFF EXCEPT FLYING!

Epic design fail...

er, they could jump it and hope they don't break much?
One excuse is it could not be for valks to drop off proper ground troops, but snipers or heavy weapons teams, then have them sit up there shooting away, safe in the knowledge that they can't possibly be attacked by the guys they're shooting.
... still pretty darn useless if it's that specialised

There are ladders behind each of the "legs" of the pad, and four hatches which lead to them.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

Could field it as a rhino with havoc launchers: just make sure the footprint is the proper size (rhino sized base) and you're good to go. Make it fit in the army well enough, make it themed, nobody will give you gak.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

The model was designed to go with the Valkyrie, it is silly however to use it for anything else if you want realism, but it's easy enough to try and realise 40k isn't great for scaling....

My god the legs....

Also, the worst model of all time.... (Currently)

So we filled his head with cannonballs and powdered his behind
And when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind.

Fixed that for you.

I think most 80's hair metal sucks ass (feth Motley Cru), since I am a douchebag heavy metal hipster, but I like the model.

The only problem with the Stormtalon is the oversized underslung assault cannons. If you mount those somewhere else, or use smaller ones from another kit, it looks great. Really 'attack helicopter-ish'

Yep. Not to mention for me the stormtalon looks better for me than the new DA flying church.

From the initial Age of Sigmar news thread, when its "feature" list was first confirmed:

Believe me, it has nothing to do with being a metal hipster. I hate metal, and I can assure you, 80s hair metal just plain sucks.

That said, 80's hair metal marines are still absolutely awesome.

where am I? *looks around* Well i'm...errr...I...I...don't know!

I can forgive some of the older ones that are evidently made with a hint of amusement in there. It's the modern models like the new DA where they are trying to make good models that look like total crap!
