Oh and second buggy is amazing bud, love the whole thing, those exhaust pipes kinda steal the show a bit, they are superb.

Always wanted to do a Taurox conversion myself, so it'll be interesting to see where you take this.

Looks like your off to a good start .

Ooh yeah. That's one model I fancy kit bashing as well to try and improve the 'off the shelf' version... Seen some really good versions elsewhere so the pressure is on you now (sure you're up to it though )

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Next up on my painting list are probably some boyz and one of the four trukks I have primed.

Based on your current Knight project, I can see you doing some kind of mechanicus vehicle with lots of attachments.

Yeah, the base kit is pretty fugly, but it has a lot of potential. Will you be doing an Ork looted version?

Why build one when I can build two? One will be a guilder armoured car, and the other will be for Necromunda Enforcers.

So I had cut off part of the track guards on one of the rear sections, and I don't even remember why. Obviously an idea that I abandoned. Since my current build uses the full width of that piece, I had to reattach the cut off bits. Luckily, I had a package of .015" strip styrene that was the same thickness as what was cut out by the razor saw. The lesson from this, make sure you're fully committed to a build before cutting anything.

And some other parts of the build...

I kinda hit a wall with the Taurox conversion. There are some design elements that I can't decide on, so I've set it aside to let it stew in the back of my brain. In the meantime, I've accomplished a few things....

Primed trukk #4 (and a wee bit of painting).

Assembled and primed trukk #5.

As always, pics can be clicked for larger views and C&C welcome.

A bit of painting done on Trukk #1.

Silk wants me to put down the brush and feed him.

The floor of the trukk bed is pretty much done.

Took some pics outside to see what it looks like under natural light. Still a fair amount of work to be done in the cab area.

Those are Battlewagon tracks on the back, yes? They look really good on that Trukk.

Thanks. Yep, those are Battlewagon tracks. I had to extend the bed to fit over them. The bed is also magnetic, so at a future date I can add a fifth wheel for a trailer or even a big gun if the mood strikes me.

I was experimenting with washes and rust effects and came up with this:

But it wasn't quite right, so some more playing around and this is what I finally ended up with:

Spear chukka!

C&C welcome.

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. This is going to be a big update with lotsa pictures, as trukk #1 is now finally finished.

"Drive me closer!"

The left side of the bed has one external magnet for clan symbols and one internal magnet for mounting a wrecker ball or big grabber.

The right side of the bed has two external magnets for clan symbols and one internal magnet for mounting a wrecker ball or big grabber.

The front has two magnets for mounting clan symbols and has magnets for a bumper or reinforced ram.

Close-up showing my use of weathering chalk (and stray cat hairs). Both sides of the bed also have magnets for boarding planks. I still need to paint those.

Close-up of bed interior. I may have gone a wee bit heavy on the weathering chalk here.

The driver's head is magnetic as well, so I can swap out different clan heads.

And finally, I'm rather fond of the broken exhaust pipe.

As always, click on a pic to zoom in and see the stray cat hairs in excruciating detail, and C&C is welcome.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

I finally got around to finishing buggy #2 with varnish and weathering chalk.

And some pics of completed big guns...

'eavy shoota

rokkit launcher

twin-linked shootas

spear gun

harpoon gun

I still have to finish a scorcha. And about a dozen or so more copies of each gun... and about 10 more buggies... and trukks, and bikes, and boyz, and civilian vehicles, and scenery... *sigh* So much to do.

There's always more to do, it's the very nature of the hobby.

Buggy looks great though, keep it up.

I guess it's been a while since I last posted here. Since before I moved in fact. Time for an update then. Warning: lots o' pics.

I decided to convert up a Goliath truck, and first up was to cut it up and lengthen it a wee bit.

The plasticard treadplate matches up rather well. My measurements were a tad bit off, so I added a vent to disguise the gap where the upper deck treadplate meets the cab.

So far, so good.

I mocked up a big tank plow, but it just didn't quite look right, and the general opinion on Facebook agreed.

So I cut it down a bit, and made it magnetic. I also made a ram-bar out of a big piece of I-beam. I also plan to make a big cow-catcher out of angle iron.

I made a couple of magnetic gunners and weapons. The plan is for this to one day be used in a Necromunda variant, so the Catachan gunner will substitute for an Orlock. I'm also going to add some greenstuff to the weapon mounting plate to make it look like it was welded (badly) onto the cab roof.

Starting to come together...

And some added details.

I'm thinking of continuing with the theme of this being a former mining vehicle that has been stolen and jury-rigged with guns and armour by adding armour plates to the upper deck railings to provide some cover. C&C welcome.

This looks fantastic, it's really starting to come together now. Also I love the jury-rigged mining vehicle idea, really fits well with the cult background.

Good work on all of these vehicles. Looking really varied, but unified at the same time.

Thanks for all the kind words. As is usual for me, rather than finishing one build, I start a couple more.

And a couple of WIP shots.

So after a long absence that included yet another move and going back to school, I'm finally getting around to doing some conversion work. Still a ways to go on this one, with another waiting in the wings.
