Hey everyone!

I got some stuff painted today, started on the Yncarne... and honestly I have never enjoyed painting a mini less... its horrible, so many swirls and weird transitions, hopefully she'll be done by the end of the month though.

But yeah I did a galaxy eldar bike, or at least the paneling, and as often as galaxy eldar are done I still think it looks pretty good and am quite happy with it.

Neat! Love the galaxy jetbike how did you do all of the teeny tiny little stars? I tried that myself on my Void Dreamer's helmet and it went terribly :S

The Yncarne might be a pain to paint, but he's looking good much more 'death eldar' than the official scheme

I actually basically just copied this awesome tutorial I found here on Dakka. Put an 'ardcoat varnish over it. I think I'll phase out the green, but otherwise I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Hopefully I'l have the Yncarne, farseer on bike, and the first bike finished by the end of the month, I'll enter one into my FLGS' battle of the brush.

That galaxy design is looking gorgeous Gummy! I will agree though, the Yncarne is far too "ethereal" for her size. The swirly magic is far too much for her size. Nagash got away with this kinda stuff cause he was three times her size, and I think they're judging her off of that basis.

I am at a bit of a crossroads on how to paint the rider and rest of the Jetbike body.

I think the rest of the bike will be black, maybe with some tinted highlights, but what about the rider?

Would white be too stark? It's not too late to add more galaxy pattern (maybe on the helmet) but the riders body runs the risk of being too stark, or blending in too much to the bike.

This scheme is a tough nut, considering I am planning a flyer for my next purchase, but also want some eldar infantry, but have no idea on how to paint them

For the rider and his armour I'd probably go with a bright colour to contrast with the bike, it's a fine line to cross because you don't want him to blend in and got lost in the bike but you also don't want him to look out of place. For this particular piece perhaps matching tones would be good, look at some of the cool tones and see if they'd compliment the bike.

Exciting news about a commision! A friend of mine wants me to do up some eldar Dark eldar in a dark red and bone scheme, so that is hopefully gonna be very fun!

Hey everyone! Quick update on my phone. Sorry for the lack of updates, RL Is quite busy rn.

I painted up the visarch pretty quickly, and am happy for the time I spent on him. and the first test model for the commission... he ended up going with purple, which is okay... it means he can distinguish his army from Ynead's

I also have the opportunity to paint up my favorite eldar model of all time! The bonesinger! I'll find a way to incorporate him into this months competition, but the lack of white paint and the delay of February has kept me from starting! Really excited to paint this model, I got it for a measly $5 on Wednesday at my FLGS, so I'm pretty happy there.

I know.. I know, the Farseer on the bike still needs to be finished, and I still gotta throw up pics of the finished bike, I'll get to it eventually!

I stayed home sick today and got some painting done, but I've been really busy in RL so it's minimal.

I almost finished my Death Jester. He needs the bone things done and his base needs to be done, but that's about it I think.

Very vibrant! Definitely liking the scheme you've chosen for your Harlies Gummy, must be nice to have a day off every once and a while.

I played three whole games at my FLGS today!

2 wins and one loss! Game 1 was 2000 points of my Aeldari vs armies of the imperium. A real narrative battle, entrenched imperial forces fighting an invading Aeldari army. The imperium had a baneblade, but that was no matter! Yvraine and friends shrugged off a silly amount of baneblade wounds and the death jester forced his inquisitor and guardsmen off the table, getting me slay the warlord + first blood + no prisoners. Needless to say it was a wipe for the eldar. MVP were harlies and scourge, they were the ones that killed the bane blade

Second game was against orks, with the Ynari soulbursting I was able to kite his meganobz around the table, It was a win for eldar since turn 1. MVP was the Yncarne.

3rd was against a cult mech warcon, I lost, terribly, but it was a tournament army and a tournament played.

Just finished up the skeleton parts + mask. Pretty happy with him, I think I am gonna put him in my stores Battle of the Brush!

Also got the first unit for my commission, 10 eldar guardians. I will get them started tomorrow, as I am way too tired to start a whole new squad.

Also gonna throw in some of the photos of the first game as it was so much fun.
