Huh, according to the Community site, Aranthus is plastic! Did not expect that!

Same! I am really excited to see that. Huge move in the right direction.

Now, how long before GW is tempted to 're-do' all the existing resin Necromundees in plastic?

Don't make me hope.

Nekrosor looks amazing. Completely bonkers, but brilliant.

Well, I’m glad I stayed up. Audio issues aside? That was a superb preview show.

Nothing disappointing, and lots of things going on the wish list.

Kinda want her to be the legatus for some 30K solar auxilia, or maybe Militia.

Pretty solid preview all around.

IMO Necromunda Squats were probably the weakest thing, but they’ve never grabbed me, tbh.

I admit when I saw the Ultramarines teaser several hours ahead of the show, I threw my hands up in annoyance, because how much do they need?

Now I find myself wishing they'd get just one thing more and give Brother Chairon a miniature

Glad I stayed up to watch the preview. Some really excellent models, the Warhammer quest baddies all looked superb. I really want that Order of Life wizard for my Feudal Guard.

I'm going to assume the 30k Skitarii are on different bases so you couldn't easily buy a box for 40k.

Also the Votann bezerker character is brill.

If they have any sense? Never.

Resin is the right material for 95%+ of the current range of hangers-on, hired guns, etc. They're all niche releases in a niche range, so the expected demand is unlikely to be there for a plastic sprue. And even with all the CAD heresy they've got going on, resin is normally still a better material for detail than HIPS.

Frankly, I'm surprised that they're putting Aranthus out in plastic - he should really be in resin too.

Heck a lot of hangers-on don't even need to be actual models. Things like Doctors tend to only see the table if your entire plan has fallen apart and your main base is under attack. Even then you have to have lost most of your regular gangers to be wanting to put the doctor on the table.

Many of them are mostly there for post-game bonuses and such. So having them as a model really is more of a luxury than anything else. So yeah resin really makes sense as even within the Necromunda niche, they are a niche item to own.
