Thank you very much everyone, never thought the cloaks would be such a hit. So I finished up the Sisters and bases, not sure how I feel about them being on a 32mm base seems 28 would be more appropriate. A few pics of them together and one next to the MW Lieutenant.
Model count-6 for January.
Thanks for looking!

Thank you Gitz!
Going thru my Ultramarine I decided there was a need for an extra sergeant for the intercessors. The local FLGS was having a free mini giveaway so I grabbed one. Had to do a little conversion so I added a sarges helm, holster and purity seal to the bolter.

Great work Yorkright, always amazes me to see how the size of primaris compare to "human" minis. Thought I'd be used to it by now!

Good job grabbing the free mini, my locals are closed here in Scotland.

. Thank you TH, sorry to hear about the stores in Scotland hopefully they will open soon. It also still surprises me how much larger the primaris are in comparison.

Here a couple of pics of Sarge, just needs a little more work.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you Youwashock. Guess I’m not ready to stop painting Ultramarines yet.

Here’s the finished sarge, I’m pretty happy how his base turned out.
Thanks for looking.

Great clean job on the sarge and the detail on the base is lovely. Cool shot of all the Sisters together, they are some nice sculpts and your paintjob is very fitting.

Nicely done on the sgt, the trim on the kneepads give him a slightly different look from the normal Ultra and makes him stand out.

Great job on the Ultramarine, getting some nice crisp highlights on these boys. Like TH said the good knee pad trim helps him to stand out

Thank you very much gents! The gold trim on the knees was done the same as the rest of my boys in blue, got to keep them uniform .
After finishing the sisters and the sergeant I thought I would add something new to my Indomitus army. Somewhere in the new lore Guilleman set a battle group comprised of Ultramarines, Sisters of Silence and Custodes on a mission to replenish marine chapters with new Primaris marines.
In the paint que is the first of my Custodes from the Calth boxed set. He is a shield captain with sword. Here is a WIP picture, so far I am ok with the armor but not to keen on the shield. CC welcome.

Ooh, Custodes is looking good! To my eye, the shield isn’t as bright as the armour, perhaps some more highlights? Or maybe a spot colour on the filigree it’s holding in its talons? The face and sword both look fantastic though

I fancy me some well painted golden boys.

The shield might be due to the slight camera angle Gobert.. I don't know, my eyesight never was particlary good...

Custodes is off to a good start. I painted a few in 2018 and it is a challenge to make the mostly gold look interesting. Maybe another shade for the shield or a completely different color. Maybe black with silver trim?

I think the guys have good ideas Yorkright. Just brighten it up a bit (unless that's an artifact of the photo). Unfortunately the design of the shield doesn't give you much to work with.

Man, it must be hard to work with so much gold. If you want the shield to pop a litle more, maybe try blacklinging/pin-washing the rivets so they stand out against the silver plate a little more.

Now showing The Fellowship of the Ring, along with some Dreadball Captains!

Painting total as of 4/13/2024: 31 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

There is some silver on the filigree but the picture does not show it. I am working hard on doing better with my faces and trying some new things with the power sword

Thanks Not Online, you are right it is darker than the rest of the armor.

Thanks Viterbi, may try to brighten up the shield first, but I have seen some Custodes with the shield painted black.

Thanks Gitz will try that.

He is pretty shiny, I do like that idea about pin washing the rivets will give it a try.

Thanks again for the help will post up a pic when I get a chance to toss some more paint on him.

He's a shiny, shiny fellow. I wonder about much deeper Shadows and similarly much brighter highlights on the shield wings.

. Hehe yeah he is, my guess is the Giant Crab from Moana would add him to the pile on his back.

Here is an updated pic with some more highlights and shadows. Tried to do some pin washing on the rivets. What do you guys think?

That Custodian is looking good! Definitely agree with the others and say that the shield needed something to break up the wall of gold, and the panel lining and silver work has upped the look overall.

Nicely done on his sword too, it's a good point of interest.

It's probably too late, but getting some of that red from the shoulders onto the shield could help break it up a bit. I'll add to the praise for the sword, and for the gold overall.

Not to late, I was thinking about changing the gem to red to see how it looks.

Calling the Custodes Captain done, thanks all for the input it really helped. @Youwashock I’m afraid I did not add any red to the shield.
Here is his glamour shots and a pic of him next to some other figs. The primaris it seems are the same size if not just a bit bigger than the golden boys.

Thanks for looking.
