Think of it like a manticore, except a million times more badass.

That's what the next stretch goal is.

Looks great! Hope it just comes as an extra with the APC, if it was to be a whole separate kit I would want it to look a bit more different than it does already. Really cool idea though, must resist getting more stuff though. I am already at a nice round $500!

Edit: Whoops, so, SO ninja'ed . Didn't realize we'd rolled over onto a new page...

In the Kickstarter comments someone posted this link to what inspires it:

I'm not sure what I think, but if they are free or cheap, then

Also I think Mark just sketched them out and they would have more detail once made. So yeah, very interesting!

People who want to swap a different gun out for the quad gun could probably use the bits from the stormtrooper support weapons (i.e. the anti-tank gun), if they're getting those as well. But it probably looks best with the quad gun anyway, as to make this a true "tank" rather than an "APC" would require a pretty hefty overhaul of the model.

@mathieu- thanks for the clarification.

I am sorely tempted to change to all infantry and apcs.
I already have a crusader and would like a mortis, but these are all looking too good.

Mark, I know you have plenty of great ideas, but save my bank account and hold hem for the next ks.

sigh... so rough news for me is that I had some unexpected costs come up... and I'm not getting last months income... or this month's so far thanks to a paperwork feth up.

So sadly I had to drop down to two arms and a single crusader.

I also slimmed down my pledge a little although I still have some troopers, support, command, all the heavies and an APC!

Mantic's kickstarter drew me in after long last so I figured I would split my pledges. After all, I can buy Dreamforge stuff whenever it is released but Mantic IS offering some good deals.

Not to say I am ditching Mark, he is still getting $260 off me which is more than reasonable I would say, more than I usually pledge for a KS!

Guys, don't feel bad about lowering the pledges slightly, or not being able to afford more. Life is such, and no one in their right mind would flame you for that. As you all pointed out, this should be available for retail at a later point.

If not, Mark played the excellent hand he was dealt extremely bad.

Now, I'll take orders for skin scrapings off my girlfriend. A mere 18 years ought to produce a viable clone that you can legally marry. And I won't charge as much as a Leviathan...

The APC broke my resistance, its everything I wanted in a 40k truck or armed limo.

So its a leviathan and 3 APCs for me.

I'd vote for a preditor drone if Mark is taking votes.

Lol . Yes, a drone would indeed be cool! But I think we're wrung every sculpt he had out of him in this Kickstarter. We should hit the $155K stretch tomorrow, so I'm not sure what (if anything) he'd have for the final day.

I suggested making the PDF rules (when they're finished) free for anyone pledging over $20, since that would be an easy thing for him to do and might tempt in some more folks (It's already free to anyone pledging over $200)

One thing I'm curious about, does kickstarter add sales tax to pledges, or since it's a "donation", is it tax free?

I pretty much knew the rockets were coming, but it helps solidify my decision to wait for some other faction. It just borrows too much from an iconic vehicle of World War 2 to look right anywhere outside of the Eisenkern/Space Wehrmacht.

If your state charges sales taxes on online shopping, you will have to pay the sales tax on your end - that's why Europeans are always getting hit with their VAT on Kickstarter projects. And it's not a donation - trying to tell the tax department you are "donating" money and just coincidentally receiving a "gift" in return isn't going to convince anyone.

DreamForge Kickstart is coming to a close

We have introduced over 30 individual plastic model kits! And we are not done yet!
The current product line consist of a fully outfitted Stormtrooper infantry section, a range of power armored troops ,
two Leviathan variants in 15mm and 28mm scale with a host of optional weapons, and a APC to get your troops to the front in safety and style.

If you wanted to back one of our amazing plastic models or miniatures, NOW is the time!

Over $150 k with $2500 already today (3am central time zone). Ks projecting high of $180k...I don't think KS knows how gamers operate. I think well hit $200k

That's been my understanding. Skimming through Mark's comments on the KS page there's one that mentions the ripper saw going on either arm, so one would infer from that that the ones that don't have a side can go on either.

Yes, all go on both sides except the Vulcan cannon (due to the external ammo feed belt not being a reversible bit) and the Mauler Claw (due to the palm not being a reversible bit). I have both of these in resin and it's pretty clear why they're not reversible. I think he learned from the Vulcan cannon, though, and made all the other guns mountable on either side

Over 600 backers now, and about to cross $152K!

@Alex- Since those missile pods are Very WIP, I'm hoping they'll be a bit more sci-fi / modern in the final version. I'm very happy with the balance of retro and sci-fi in the actual APC itself, though.

Gitkikka- Looks just fine to me

Yesterday was by far the highest total pledge day ($13.5K) and pretty much tied with several other days for most backers other than the first (and those other days were times when Mark introduced new elements like the weapon arms or the like).

Today is already at about $5K so looks to outdo it by quite a bit!

I was expecting that the end total would be about $175K... but now I'm starting to wonder if that's a little low.

Dont feel bad, my contribution is pretty small too. This is a bad time for me financially, will be until spring. Guess that means Ill be waiting cash in hand when a lot of this stuff hits regular retail next year.
