My 4 games for placement have been pretty great so far - only a single loss at the start.

I'd like to finish the rest tonight, only I don't have anyone to buddy up with, and I feel a lot more reassured when I can coordinate with someone as D.Va. PM me if you're interested folks

i finished 5/4/1 got placed 3400

7 games a week for me now :/

Finished my games, ended up at 1800 (I was around 2300 last season and 2498 the season before that, so it's a bit discouraging). Turns out it was my turn to luck out a bit though, I've done nothing but win games all day and I've now gotten to 2150. Still a way to go to break into platinum, but at least I didn't keep losing.

Sorry I wasn't there. Thought I'd have a new computer by now- spent most of the afternoon building it. BUT! Apparently I have the wrong RAM. 2666 instead of, you know, any of a number of versions above or below.

Keeping my placement matches on hold. This whole new turtle the immortal Bastion meta is just unfun.

He takes to much to kill now after he got updated tuesday. His weakspot isn't much of a weakspot anymore. (The glowy thing on the back in turret form.) He get's a 1,5 times healing boost when he gets healed in Turret form. He can now survive almost all the damage ultis. (Except for MC Cree, but you'd be in straight line of sight with him to do so. He won't survive that. He does like 1500 dmg max.) Bastion is a tank instead of a defender now he has that easy selfheal, heal boost and on top of that damage reduction.

DV.A is absolutely ehhhr now her DM is bugged. (If you shoot the enemy DVA through a teammate her DM does nothing against the shots.)

Hope they fix it soon. I do am happy what Orisa is going to bring now.

It makes winston USELESS

Orisa has a Higher Health shield with a Lower Cooldown AND the Cooldown Begins as soon as the shield is placed, Winston has none of these

Yeah so can Orisa, as an ABILITY

"Winston is good against flankers"
Sure he is, But Orisa can force the Flankers to where she wants them

Winston does 30dps, which means if Mercy is healing the target, Winston will NEVER be able to kill them
Not only that his damaged is halved to FIFTEEN dps if the Target has Armour


But no, with blizz its Release new Character>Everything Else

Winston is a lot more mobile, but yeah I feel he needs a buff.

What if they made Winston's tesla cannon deal amazing damage to armour and shields? Make him a sort of anti-tank tank in a sense?

EDIT: Christ, the Bastion buffs just further illustrate what a bad spot Tracer is in. Removing Bastion was the main niche of her ultimate, and now it doens't kill him.

Except she really doesn't. The pull doesn't go that far/works that long. It's a small stun/pull. Not enough to pull people (far) off of cap points from what I could see.

Orisa doesn't really have the same role as Winston though.

I still don't really think of Winston as an actual tank at the current time, but yes he does need quite a buff.

Pulse Bomb does... 80 damage to him.

Winston should never be in one place for very long. He's bouncy. Orisa isn't. And her graviton pulse moves people, like, a foot. Hardly similar to Primal Rage's pushing power, and it's skill based against mobile flankers, unlike the Tesla Cannon which will stay locked on.

Not to mention the Tesla Cannon penetrates shields.

Yes, Orisa does somewhat invalidate a certain playstyle of Winston. But Winston's main purpose is picking off low-damage targets, forcing flankers back, and dealing with a team once it scatters with his superior mobility and shield. Anvildude is right.

Not to worry - I'm thinking about trying out Overwatch Crossroads, and linking it to the Dakkanauts I have on my team roster if it's any good. Should help me and you find an ideal time when we can play together.

I haven't found him to be a problem, strangely - in the initial games of competitive with him on the other side, our teams pulled easy victories simply by focusing our fire and abilities; Roadhog is practically a must for countering Bastion in his current state I've found.

The problem is being fixed ASAP though. Just hang tight.

I didn't notice this till I read an article on it - in my first 4 placement matches, I only had a single Mech death... across all 4 games. Was a slippery slope of poor performance after that though; let's just say that the teams after that were very resistant to going with a 2-2-2 combination, the deficiency lying (unsurprisingly) in the healers I depend on to keep going.

I have a lot of work to do, it seems.

Winston is far from useless; I don't recall Orisa having an ability that lets her leap across the field, or a multi-tracking hitscan weapon.

You'd also be surprised at the range of Halt! - it takes a good deal of timing to get it right, I've found so far - certainly not enough to drag people off objectives.

I got back in Gold tier. My win record still needs some work though, being only 50/50 at the minute.

D.Va certainly isn't the most reliable hero you can main in Competitive PUGs...

This is why I main Mercy. Most people can appreciate Mercy

Mercy's also not very reliable in PUGs I've found; if the team doesn't protect you with either a Reinhardt or a D.Va (or both), say goodbye to a good healing/death ratio.

I've gone overboard with my attention to stats, so I've signed up to Overbuff. I need to get more Competitive games in to get more accurate metrics, but a lot of the QP stats are looking pretty decent; apparently I'm in the top 5% of players in the world for K/D ratio as D.Va

Well. I did get a quad rez on the last point of Volskaya industries during Overtime that salvaged our defense. Other than that it's a hard knock life as healer

Well, at least you won't have to die to the Hook anymore if we partner up again
