Ahh normally i'd be all over that but it's to last minute for me, my entire weekend has been planned out already at this point lol.

Where do we drop ideas for the league?? I wouldn't mind doing a point escalation deal start at 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 kinda thing. Though the higher you get the harder it is to keep the same group going since not everyone has larger armies.

I did, they are built and primed but the first bit of painting i've done so far i'm not sure how happy i am with it. White is very hard for me to paint and have it look 1/2 way decent.

i have the same problem with white. didja basecoat white>?

I painted mine sorta fast. so I am hoping for at least a 1/2 star

I primed white but the primer might of been a bit watery for some reason. I feel my white paint is also to bright, might need to look into a darker shade of white so it doesn't look so weird. I don't paint overly fast, i'm just kinda sloppy when i do it, i was never the kid to stay in the lines when colouring

maybe start with bleached bone and drybrush to white?

also, i just bought a new heavy warjack, and it came with the body for one heavy 'jack, but the head/arms/cards of 3 warjacks.
I am going to magnetize it, wish i had known before I finished painting the starter one

Nice, does that bring us close in points now? I've got 21-23 i think.

I find bleached bone can turn kinda yellowy though which i'm not sure i want. What i should do is paint up some of my servitor objective models using different white combinations and see which one i like.

Lol ya i can do 24 right now with all my models. If i were to get some wracks i could probably do 25 but i don't know if they are useful at all. They seem kinda fun though with there ability to explode when you activate them

We could do 1 game of 40k and then do a bunch of warmachine, Dee picked up his stuff from my place today, think he said he was going to spend the night building it. I'd say it's up to him if he wants to read up on the rules before playing or not, and if he'd rather try out his new nids. With me being at 24 points guess i need to pick up 1 pt somewhere. I'll ask tomorrow at legends what they can order and and see how long it takes. Might get some wracks or something,. apparently only 1 pt for 3 models

TBH, that doesn't sound like a good idea. as you can remember we usually get 1 and 7/8ths 40k games done at legends when we played there. You and elite have plans to play, Git 'er Done!
if we try to play warmachine after with none of us being all that slick on rules, we may make it through 1 game... maybe. If elite and yourself are able to try out your models against each other that would be slick too, they did come in the same box.

I'll go to HSG, the guy who works there and plays Warma/hordes agreed to play a couple 11 point battlebox games against me, which may be beneficial to the 3 of us learning the game as a whole.

I have a pretty steady work schedule but maybe we can link up for an afternoon game this week to face-off our 25 point armies (I can even do a 24 point if I need too)

Built-in/Rythem: I have my models put together for warmachine. I am going to bring my 40K and warmachine items to Legends today at 11 a.m. I don't care which we play. I DID NOT read any rules, because I did not get a rule book. I have ordered the rule book from Legends and should have it this week. Rythem has the rule book and he has read the rules, so we could still try to get through a few games. If all 3 of us were there, it would make it more useful, but if Built-in is going to HSG, then Rythem and I can just try to work through the rules together. I don't even know how many points I have in my army. Looking forward to trying it out though... Built-in: if possible, you should consider heading in to Legends so we can all work through some rules together.. it would be fun. See you at 11 a.m. Rythem.

Sorry I didn't go that way, I didn't want to head that way to watch 40k, cause I was really excited to try out my models.

I played 4 and a half games (one game got restaryed cause the guy screwed up some spell. And I learned a Lot, not everything, but once you shake the 40k habit it gets quite simple.
I played a battlebox game against some werefolves, and got my &$&# handed to me. Then played a 25 point game and got assasinated in turn 2.
I then assasinated the same guy in game three for some nice juicy payback, and won my final game very luckily... So luckily I almost feel like it was cheating.

All told, the game is halarioisly fun. And I am still very noobish (kept making horrible mistakes) and would love to keep practicing and really gettin a grasp of the rules an game mechanics. So if you guys are down for some battle boxing in the afternoon during the week let me know. Maybe thursday with the new closing time

Built in: Rythem and I played zero 40k. We played 6.5 hours of warmachine.... In a word... It was awesome. Though I have been reading since I got home and it looks like we played with a few key errors to the rules. I would love to play Thursday afternoon. I will keep you posted when I see what time I can get out of work.

Yeah all in all a great afternoon, we were just going to have a quick game of warmachine to see how it played and as Dee said 6.5 hours later and the store was closing lol. As for the rules; that will happen a lot till we get a better grasp on things, though we still tend to make some 40k mistakes cuz rule books tend to be pretty ambiguous, espeically when the 40k rule set comes to mind when your trying to play a different game. I could be up for some games thrusday as well, i'm free basically the entire day and night so we should definately work something out. I'm starting to think maybe picking up the codex wouldn't be a horrible thing either since i have no real idea what models and units i have.

All the info in the book is on the cards that you got. Except a blurb about theme list, and a lot of fluff. 'sup to you though. I bought the faction deck instead. That gives you every card of your army. Which is good if say you want to play your pKreoss (high exemplar) as eKreoss (grand exemplar). It will also let you try out different jacks and units before you decide you want them

Lol i didn't even click, if you hover your mouse over the link it tells you the url tsk tsk. Hmm i didn't see the full deck when i was at HSG but i have already ordered another couple models just based on looks and names, as usual i buy models based on aethetics instead of stats . Maybe next time i'm at legends i'll see if i can get it ordered in for me. I love that it's an american based company so some of the models don't need to come in from england. And by the way card sleeves with dry erase marker is just about the greatest invention pairing in the world.

Where has everyone gone???? I feel like since I left at the end of April the regular forum visitors and Legend's players have all but dried up.... just Rythem and I carrying the standard these days? Kungfu? More Dakka? Spender?? anyone?

Been really busy, so I haven't had lots of notice to post availiable times. Also, I'm going to yet another wedding this comming weekend so I've been short on time.

Been at Legends a bunch on short notice though. I've got one of my brothers starting up on 40k and playing marines and another guy is also just starting 40k and picked necrons I've also played a bunch of another buddy's Tau.

I've got a bunch of my nids primed and then my tire exploded on the way to Legends to buy paint, so I that's as far as I got. :/

I'll possibly be down there on Thursday with them, in the afternoon through evening. It will be the necron player's first game and my brother hasn't played much yet and the Tau player is just now really refining his game, so if you want to try out your new nids it would be a good time. I'll let you know what the plans are for sure when I have some kind of confirmation from them.

I won't be available to wargame this weekend, but I am able to be at legends on Thursday some time after 3
