Thanks all, still struggling to keep motivated in the painting arena. Lately the Grandspawn has been wanting to do some batreps so I dug out my original Space Hulk game. No idea what happened to the rooms so we put together some of the corridor pieces and made up some rules, threw around some dice and said Pew Pew. Took a pic before playing, his Space Marines won the day and we had a great time together.

Finally I primed the havocs and started laying some paint down on them. Going to add them to my EC army and work towards a 1500 point list.
Thanks for looking

An all-corridor game of Space Hulk? That must have been interesting.

I feel you with the painting at the moment. A year of lockdowns is weighing I think. Getting a game in is always good, hopefully it inspires you to progress the Emperors kiddos

Thanks all for following along. Making some progress on Slaanesh’s finest. Laid down some gold and added some black to his boot and one of the leg plates. Grandspawn took a liking to some gold paint, I believe their maybe 3 or 4 coats of paint on him now.

Nice progress on the Emperors child, what gold recipe are you using? It looks very shiny! Glad the grandspawn enjoyed painting the gold marine, he clearly has good taste

. Thanks Graven, the purple is genestealer purple, highlighted with kakaphoni. After it dried I used a thin wash of druchi violet to pull it together.

Thank you Gobert, the gold recipe is just retributor gold with a thinner down wash of aggrax the back with some highlights of the same gold and some iron breaker.

Great job on the finished Kharn, but the EC unit steals the spotlight, that purple is gorgeous combined with the gold. Excited to see the squad progress!

I should show you my boys' early works sometime, it'll make you more appreciative of the grandspawn's efforts.

I’m starting and stopping projects... not much activity but I did find some assault marines that I got in a trade. He was a bit on the rough side so with a bit of cleaning up of the flash, I entered it in the monthly challenge. 2 shots pre painted and a WIP.

Thanks for looking.

Yorkright,

The two of us seem to be entering figures from our playing armies each month in the challenge. While it has not led to success in scoring, we are both closer to having a finished army.

Cheers,

Thanks Viterbi, red seems to be one of my favorite colors to use on my armies.

Normally my monthly challenges, like you, is to add to my armies. As to having a finished army, does that ever really happen. :-P
