How much have Mantic made via KS in the last couple of years - the good news is that this helps securely fund them for quite some time to come :-)

Always looking to meet SE London gamers for Saga, Frostgrave.

I have a feeling that we're seeing so much last day activity because so many people passed on it day one since it didn't have the value yet and didn't bother checking in again until now. I got an EB and it wasn't until a few days ago that I decided to keep it.

Also, anyone else think the hunt for Ba'el is a hint for one last stretch? I don't think Ba'el was part of any of the earlier stretches and we'll probably have 90 minutes left after securing Valandor.

It should be that they have multiple revenue streams that constantly trickle in thanks to the new product lines, rather than these lump sums doing a lot as it's largely or totally consumed in the creation of the product itself. Not to mention a greatly expanded customer base that will hopefully buy some of their other products. (guilty as charged)

That's the thing, And GW did the same thing in the early days.
You have a gateway game (Like DS:TDKQ) and you have the core of a KoW army, so you expand into KoW.
I can see me using this terrain for lots of things, including Malifaux...

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

I am pretty damn satisfied with what I'm getting for my money, even if the miniatures don't blow me away. I'm getting a pile of gaming material at a really good price.

There were times earlier on when I thought the value wasn't there, but right now I am pretty happy about it.

Sounds like Valandor vs Be'al is a full blown expansion now? I dunno if there are extra tiles or if they just meant that between those two models and the scenarios they're including it technically counts.

Some extra tiles and cards would make sense (all the other expansions have had that kind of stuff).

This is seriously starting to rival Deadzone.

Backer count beat by a wide margin and total $$$ count looks like it will be very close.

No kidding! I don't see it getting 180k more in the next hour, but damn how it got close.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Potential to overwhelm it on the pledge manager and to out-sell it like Mars Attacks did via retail though for sure.

Sheesh, this is just getting silly. Deadzone is probably a little nervous now even though there's no way...

I think that they're spent, and rightly so.

I really didn't think that at the start of it that they'd beat Deadzone for backers by several miles and come pretty close in the money stakes. When you realise that this isn't just free money for them, that they have to use it to produce stuff, it's basically their most successful KS so far.

As far as GW dropping the ball by not redoing WHQ, would anyone want a limited release game with no support that dies off, or one by a company that are pretty much seen as the good guys releasing a game with tons of expansions that create a foundation for their fantasy tabletop game and eventual skirmish game?

Welp, I went in for the "jerk pledge." Noticing my credit card balance ended in a 9 was the tipping point. Hopefully that turns into a decent-sized pledge by the time this rolls around to shipping, but I'm just too leery to plunk the money down right now with other shinies coming up sooner.

Been a fun ride all the same though.

^ Jerk pledge for me too unfortunately, quite an expensive month so far (summer always is), but will be going all-in on the pledge manager.

im thinking all in then too, minus the kow figures, dice and bag. Although the Abyssal kow add on looks pretty good value.

Some pretty mad comments over there too, some of the backers need to calm down.

Like I said earlier, depending on when the PM closes it might work out to be an all-in pledge with expansions and loads of stuff. I'm also going to have a chance to see if I like the plastic so that's good.

Plus if SS is being a jerk too, I feel much better about it.

Well, looks like it's 100% funded, no new stretch goals, so the $1 pledge doesn't make much difference in this case.

Looks ilke the twilight kin assassin showed up finally. And a vampire for some reason, plus a skeletal jester. No thanks! Sounds like backers get a free novel too though? That's kinda cool.
