thats why i tried to refer to him^^

in a way delaques have something of a peeping tom feel to them for my taste^^

but also they would look good with camelhair coats or the usual black leather... but that is a bit overdone...

maybe, because we are in a wee starwars feel atm...how about han solos coat from return of the jedi“s?:

something unusual for that bunch...also would give you a real good oportunity to send that blaster into action!

That's cool, but they are supposed to be Hive-Mafia types, in my mind's eye. Baiyuan said he'd disown me if I painted them wearing light brown yuppie coats

I am thinking either shiny brown heroin-dealer leather or black..I dunno.

if black do them in shiny gestapo black... you know that glossy black..

or you could try to sculpt them some hats...now that is an idea... mafia heads and then these bald heads are gone... or you could do the hairdo thing for them...any hairdo would do^^

But what about these new-fangled Orlocks?

They are different, no loincloths thankfully, they could EASILY be painted and absorbed into my Catachan army
I am rather impressed by the amount of weaponry included in the box though. GW wasn't skimping this time around.

@ dsteingass You must have an endless supply of cash how do you afford all these necromunda models Do you have any of the Ash Waste minis …….,……. I do I love em but to dam scared to paint them make sense out of that

I think Black but be careful with the shiny black ,I use matt black with a mix of pearl paint translucent not white pearl (I used a cheap craft acrylic paint thinned ) It worked well gave it that shine but more of a reflective shine than gloss ……. if hat makes sense

No Hair no hats they look wrong Sorry Vik there Gangers not bankers

1. I wish I had endless cash, no, i have been collecting these Gangs for years from trades, ebay, shows, conventions, etc. except the new Orlocks, I just ordered them from GW Specialist Games site. . The Ratskins were found secondhand somewhere, and I had to strip paint and corrosion from them, then they were disinfected, once the funk did not regrow on them, I primed them and put them back into storage for several years. Besides, nobody paints all of their miniatures as soon as they get them anyways!

2. I'm not sure what you mean about the Chopper LDD, it has 2 screws for changing/tightening the blade (you have to change the standard no.9 blade often, like any knife). It has a tightening screw and nut too, so there should be no movement in the arm, unless you want movement.

3. This is what everyone gets in the set of new Orlocks, but for the older boxed sets, you get 8 randoms in a box, but always 1 leader, 1 heavy, etc.

This what I meant by chopper although its chopper 2
Its not that the blade is blunt it just seems to bend when cutting

If you are ever looking for any of the old Catachan metal figures let me know i have loads just noticed some in your box

See, that is much better built than mine, you have a proper cutting mat, but still, you can't change the blade??
How does a solid steel razor blade bend? Are you sure your arm just doesnt need tightened?

I am ALWAYS looking for metal Catachans, can never get enough! See you have to be willing to acquire minis when you find them, makes digging through the "bins" at GenCon and similar shows the best part IMHO.

No, you can change the blade " when I get some " but even when it was new it did the same

Well if you got a picture of your needs send it this way I am sure I could sort you out with a few

Can you please show me a picture of your Chopper from the left side? And the bottom?

Mine has two screws on the bottom that attach the hinge for the arm, then there is an adjusting screw/nut on the hinge of the arm. If you have lateral play in the arm, then something needs tightened, it HAS to be the case. If they built that thing unadjustable, I would be VERY surprised, Model Railroaders don't generally tolerate that sort of proprietary tool.

As for Catachans, I need any mini with a chainsword or Bolt Pistol or any Officer.

Same here, my arm only cuts at the 90 degree position, it doesn't swivel if that is what you mean. I REALLY think you should check it out from all angles man, look for some adjustment screws or something. I just can't believe they aren't there. That is the NAME BRAND Chopper 2, mine is the Micro Mark knock-off. Micro Mark used to sell the name brand, then they switched to this model. You have the premium model there.

HAHAHA! I am just a messenger bro!

Wow, that seems like it is an overly-complicated design! I really can't see any type of adjustment at all! Anything on the bottom? Amazing! I'm glad I didnt buy the name brand now.

However, I do like how yours has the measurements etched into the fence and then inked bright yellow. I had to buy the optional stick-on ruler, but I have to custom cut it to fit, and I just don't like it so haven't put it on.

Never before seen the new orlocks! But I have been known for living in the past - will be intrigued to see them painted.

I bought a new-school goliath ganger the other day - he came with like 6 possible weapons - they are def not skimping on the guns - which is handy for all those 2nd hand armless minis one can buy.

Haha! The ONLY original Orlock I have (besides the heavy I made as a Catachan) is the one you sent me on that trade Weety I just haven't ran across any in 10+ years collecting minis. Of course, I rarely ever buy minis at full price tho, I always look for stuff on the cheap. I LOVE to go to conventions like GenCon and spend an entire day rummaging through the mountainous boxes of stuff at the Dealer tables/swap meet/auction areas.

And now for:
The Diary of a Mad Riveter

You should ONLY use the finest fresh-cut rivets, any TV Chef will tell you that "the fresher the ingredients, the better the dish"
And you need a knife blade that has a pointy tip, if you have a knife blade that has a sort of hook-tip, these work well too

1. Stab the rivet, enough to pick it up, but not enough to cut it through (you will develop a sixth sense/feeling for it with practice)

2. (This really should have been step 1, but now you have to put your knife down, sorry) Spooge some fresh plastic glue (testors blue tube is my go-to here, because the smell is better than the orange tube, and no I don't sniff glue to get high Baiyuan!) onto a post-it note or paper or anything but plastic.
2.5 Dip the rivet in glue. It should have a nice blob sticking to it like the following image

3. Place the rivet onto the desired spot, swirling it slightly so that the glue spreads, then when it is in it's final sweet spot, if you stabbed it right, the glue will have more force than the knife blade and the rivet will magically come loose as you pull away.
If you stabbed it wrong, and it sticks, just use your other hand or stick, or whatever to push the rivet down as you pull the knife tip away. After your 50,000th rivet, these still occasionally happen.

4. Repeat steps 1-3

The pictures are wonky-off center because it is really a bitch to shoot in-focus left handed while I manipulate the scene with the knife.

Now I clip the runner on the miniature down to the bare minimum

Only clip the bare minimum from the grating

fill the slotta with glue

You may still have gaps, if so, pack in some sand, gravel, whatever into the glue

I guess that's really all there is to it

To fill in any gaps that may be exposed in the slot, it brings the slot level with the grating. Adding things to super glue is always a way of strenghtning models too, it's like miniature concrete when mixed with filler. I didn't really need to fill much of a gap on that Ganger, I just did it to show you how.
