praise the thee lord and pass the ammunition!!!!

lovley stuff... having had yesterday nothing but strife with my computer, still not really ticking like it used to be...tho i stayed a bit after the initial reustration off the damned thing... now seeing the development of the blaster! bloody brilliant work mate! every pic there was something for me to be picky about... seeing now the final version! what a grace!

i hpoe you feel mighty proud about the amount of work you did there...same goes for the cool looking ratskins...looks like only slight deatils are needed on the base and hardcoating is the last step...

the carving of the broomhandle is very good... we all have to remeber what scale this actually is... scandalous small! mate i dunno where your voyage may send you but that is definatly a great one... hope you enjoyed that built!

cheers, vik

Not much to say after all that praise but its bloody awful…………….. Haaaaaaaaa only kidding that is some small tinkering you have taken up there I like the effort you have put into and did not shy away from adding more.

Like mentioned when you look at the scale you are working with it's amazing how much detail you have put into it especially only using white plastic , I would have had to turn to GS would not have attempted to use white plastic…….

Group shot looks great nice uniformed look for a rabble but works what kind of look are you doing on the bases ?

Thanks everybody!
@Rawson- I think you are crazy bro, if I added the longer flash cowling with the bottom slit (easier to make than you might think- cut partially through a tube before slicing it at an angle then slipping it onto the barrel) like you mentioned, it would lose the simplistic Mauser barrel look (I tried it before settling on this one). I think the iron sight on the cowling is a bit too much IMO, but it is necessary if I am to have the iron sights. I'm not seeing what you mean about the magazine tho.

Yeah, I could see that. I should have known you'd already thought of and moved on from any of my ideas

Again, so nitpicky I (almost) feel bad saying it, but here's what I mean

Just that the proportions would be closer to the original Mauser if you shaved a bit off the front. Probably a whopping .01mm or something

Dave, I would be honored to make a hand for that! Although if you want them sculpted on before or after making resin copies that is your call. I would do it after, so you have some with and some without. Your call though.

My only critique would be the thickness of the trigger guard. but I know how small this is. Very difficult to work with!

Great job! I say make more pistols! Different ones! Go nuts!

Yeah, the trigger guard was truly a bitch, but that is what makes the GW plastic weapons so cool, a quick 90 degree snip and they fit on any hand. As long as the trigger finger was in a round trigger guard, I don't think it would matter much.

Dave, I'll work on a plain hand for a pistol grip. Two actually, one for each side. And see what you think.

Farty - Great tutorial thanks for sharing! That's pretty much what I do, it's just that they're so small, it's difficult to get the proper shape.

Well, that was quick! I guess by the end of the month you'll have painted every Necromunda gang available.
Anyway, you did a good job. The gang has a coherent look, you refrained from using any flashy colors and a limited pallette is one thing I always dig. There are some spots where you could have done better, like the eyes, but overall it is a very nice looking gang, kudos!

About whether or not there is a market for custom made guns in 28mm: Talk to Zinge from Zinge Industries, he's on this forum and I remember a while ago he was looking for convincing weapon designs, because he had run out of ideas. Maybe if you two worked together, you could make your designs available to the community without having to bother with production/distribution. Just an idea.

that second juve has a real cute face! he is my favorite one... with that one everything is just plain perfect!

the gang on the whole look really stunning and now they need just the right dio for the storage^^ some movement try that looks fitting and cool...

and i think baiyuan has a point there... might be a bit uneasy to give your ideas away but that sure would be an option...

at jake... like the idea for two different hands... from time to time one like to have either of both... or both for dualwielding chars...

at dave again...
have to ask, did you make those spent shells on the ground for the first shamy all by yourself?? how cool is that^^

As for the Zinge idea I have dealt with him a few times and he does take peoples input quite well, he also has produced a Solo blaster using CAD which is a nice model but my favourite is his flamer pistols…..

I just ordered some of Zinge's wheels last week, awaiting them patiently. I am happy with the Ratskins, that was just a jab at Baiyuan in fun, I appreciate being pushed just past my comfort point, and Baiyuan is really goood at that

Now onto other things.

This morning, I have made my new Chopper from Micro Mark into an efficient rivet cutting jig, capable of producing Consistant sized Rivets!

Give or take a few larger ones The Chopper arm mechanism has some play, so it can be swiveled right and left some- I can tighten or loosen that play how I want.

What? I pushed you? I'd never do that... Well at least I don't remember doing so, seriously.
On the other hand being pushy is an occupational hazard for teachers and smart asses and I'm both unfortunately. So if I have somehow contributed to you suddenly having a well painted gang of slumdog killionaires, I'm alright with that.

i think these westwind minis would be a good way to make even catachans have some hard veteran scouts at their side...

the rivet slicer looks really cool...i think i have to try to scratchbuild these aperature... for now my feeble attempts at making rivets out of rods were rather futile...

and the latest shots of your ratskins have totally convinced me of your eyepainting... the second juve and the sawed off shotgun shammy are by far the best...

er...

are those new bases kind of a way to say you have a new gang in the making???

besides...if we with our weapon making attempts don´t aim for global domination through 28mm scale guns...then i think i would be more than happy to make this small arangement inbetween our small group of guys here...

since you opted for muted colors with your ratskins...what is meant to go for the delaques? how about some real poping purple to red coats? like some nice pimp coats^^

as for rivet- zen... that was rather for me always to the apling side of rivet work... the production of them i think i ceated you all rodusers for... a holepunch is clearly a whole differnt line of work...way easier than rodwork..

have you filled the gaps in the bases with glue and sand? nice idea! i was a sec worried there you might leave those gaps gaping still^^

They all still have their runner under at least one foot (usually the one not standing on treadplate) and then gravel and super glue yup

Purple no, since my Pimp from the experimental "Girls of Old Town" gang, with the pimp- I haven't finishedd painting him, but he has a purple pimp coat and hat with feather.
