BUILT-IN: Okay... so I found out that the Euro game doesn't start until 2:50 p.m., and my family is coming over at 2 p.m. Legends opens at 12 noon today.... soooo...we could still play if you wanted... two options: 1) You could come to my house ASAP and we could get a few games in OR 2) we could meet at Legends at 12 noon and likely only get one game in before I would have to leave. Let me know. I will also PM you my cell phone number, if you want to call. Let me know if either option works for you... otherwise, we will have to schedule something through the week or maybe for tomorrow.

Alright back from my cottage with 6th editiopn in hand, spent the weekend reading the "new" rules and think i'm good to go. So who is up for some games this week? i'm available during the day tuesday/wed, and after 3 on thrusday.

Also would like to thank styrofoam for the introduction to D&D, had a lot of fun and can't wait to do it again.

Spender and Rythem: I am working in Belleville tomorrow, but might be able to get back to Legends by 4-4:30 p.m.... I will text and/or call you guys about when I leave Belleville to see if you will be available 2.5 hours later; unless I leave late, then I just won't be able to play at all.

I am almost through the 6th edition rules.

I can only play till 5 tuesday/wednesday because of work. Thursday is my only completely free day.

As for the weekend, i'm free both days. Also wondering when we're going to do some more D&D

Hey all, pretty new to these forums and up until recently have been out of 40k for a few years. I guess with 6th edition coming out this works well so I can familiarize myself with the new rules.

Anyway, I'm in Markham, if anyone is interested in having a game that sounds like fun. I warn you, I'll probably be asking questions to try and refamiliarize myself with a lot of stuff, but I'm quite easy going.

KOBossy: I would like to play tomorrow. If Spender is not avail, I will let you know... not sure if you have to stay in Markham, or if you can make it to Vaughan? What army do you play?

Chaos Space Marines, Space Marines and Orks. I have a Black Templars army as well but don't really play it as much.

Depends on where in Vaughan, I suppose. Got a location, or at least major intersection?

Not entirely sure how free I am tomorrow, but we'll see.

Legends... Hwy 400 and Langstaff... That's where a bunch of us play...

I haven't either. People keep telling me about how you can have allies on your team and possible play a combination of two different armies, and about magic and such. A worker at a local GW was explaining it to me. I'm confused, myself. It'll take some getting used to, but then again, since I'm still relearning all this stuff, I can implant the new rules in my head instead of having to learn the old ones AND new ones.

Hey KoBossy. Heroes World is in Markham, at Warden and Hwy 7. I go there occasionally. On Sundays and Mondays there's a good crowd of 40k people.

I picked up my book today, but didn't have any time to play. I should be done reading the rules by Thursday.

Yeah Heroes World is my regular venue for playing, though generally its for other hobbies, and I'm friends with both owners and the staff. When I played 40k originally years ago that's where I mainly played.

I just haven't been able to go recently because Sundays and Mondays tend to be sorta hectic for me. That being said, Heroes World and Games Workshop at the Scarborough Town Center are the closest and most convenient places for me to play.

KOBossy, I wouldn't bother learning the rules to 5th, just pick up 6th and go from there, in a month or so, about 95% of the people will be playing 6th only anyways.

So i'm finishing work early today, if anyone is up for some games let me know. Available after 3 today, as well as free all tomorrow. Wouldn't mind getting some 6th edition games in see how my army stands up with all the changes to it.

I won't be able to make it to Legends this Thursday, but its probably for the best, even after reading all the rules there's no way I'm going remember all of them.

I will be studying the book like its my job and hopefully I'll be ready to play on the weekend.

So do all of you only play at this Legends place or where else do you convene?

I only play at legends now, staff is very friendly, they have great tables and terrain, and the location is very centralized for a lot of people so everyone usually has to drive the same distance to get there. They also have a lot of free parking which is a huge plus with me, since a lot of other places you need to try and park on the street, or they only have a couple spots right out front.

I want to play somewhere that has AC!!! I have a feeling Legends will feel like you're standing in front of a meltagun!

I know Heroes World has AC. About all I can contribute to that idea.

I'm gonna try to free up as much time as I can this weekend to get a chance to play. Anyone feel like making a trek to Markham, or perhaps I can come to you? I know Heroes World people play 40k Sundays and Mondays.

I can probably be at HW this weekend. I don't mind making the trek there. I live between Woodbridge and Markham, anyway so it doesn't make a difference.

I like playing at Heroes World. I'll probably be there tomorrow noon-evening playing some 40k with some buddies. I'll probably be running them through the new rules so if you want to meet up there let me know.

Well what time are you guys thinking of going tomorrow? I should be able to make it to Heroes World, its pretty close to me.

Only thing is that I don't know the newest edition rules and am still in the process of learning the rest of the rules that haven't changed, so I'd probably need a more experienced opponent to sorta guide me along and help me learn about the smaller intricacies of the game (stuff like pinning, how AP works, morale and stuff). Is that ok?

I still have to get through the 6th Ed rules before I am ready to play Warhammer..... I don't feel like slugging through a 3 hour match due to constant rule reference checks.

Legends will have their fans on, which should help with the heat. The Andre guy, at Heroes World, is really nice, but I find the gaming area to be crammed and the tables are small and too short....and NO.. I'm not a giant.

I could do some warmachine if you are not feeling 40k yet. I'll see ya at legends at 4:30, and ya it gets kinda warm in there but if you can get the fan pointed at you it improves a lot. Yeah sadly Heroes World is further than i want to drive for regular gaming since i'm coming in from the central brampton area.
