Small Update:

The first clear cast of the bottles is done!

I made the mistake of taking the picture with a white background, so it's hard to see it.

It will be at least a couple of days before it is hard enough to try to drill it out for a "filled" bottle. But in the mean time, I'll cast more regular resin bottles from this mold to make the MASTER mold, I'm thinking 48 is too small of a batch...why not try for 100? We'll see how that works out!

Also, I teased a bit about the new skull helmet I am working on.

Still needs some clean-up but I'm liking it so far!

Like I said...small update.

Thanks for looking!

@Rogue: If you're visiting the north let me know.

@Vik: Yuck, that looks like DDR-"we don't have proper meat, let's use thick-cut bologna sausage"-Schnitzel. And I think to serve it on pasta with tomato sauce has been forbidden by the Geneva Conventions. Jake's looks better, but I prefer mine with potatoes and a mix of fried onions and carrots. Sometimes with some parmigiano cheese mixed into the bread crumbs. If you do it right any type of sauce would just ruin the fine flavor of the schnitzel.

@ Chaplain Cy, tipios and Dave - Thanks guys! I still have some stuff to add to the helmet....it's not done yet.

@ Baiyuan - Any sauce I make will have to be on the side, as my wife can't stand gravy or anything that resembles it. I'll have to remeber the parmigian in the bread crumbs! Thanks! I'll try to post pics of how it turns out!

parmigian in the breadcrumbs i will try out soon too... that sounds very tasty! thanks baiyuan!

the bottle looks actually more convincing than i thought the clear resin one would be... now that i am educated by you i cross my fingers for the drill job! (by the way... at first i thought you already had the bottle filled with cokelooking contens... but then i realized it was the hand shining through ^^

the new skullhelmet looks rather cool... but again i think if done a bit bigger it would better carry the masked helmeted look...

@ El Vik, I will try to remember to get side-by side shots of a Cadian head next to the Skull helmet. You would have to imagine that the helmet is very thin, but it is a bit bigger than a cadian head...that I recall, I haven't sat them side-by-side in a while now.

I have sent the WIP pics of this skull to the client, and I am waiting to hear back if they will work or not.

I have the bare arm on the heresy investigator in the begining phase, but it's really still not far enough along since the last pics to update.

The bottle...I still need to wait until at least tonight to try to drill one out, I'll see how that goes.

I have the resin copies of Female Military Leader back! I am in the process of assembling and cleaning up the copies for the client. I will be adding a few more details, but she's looking pretty good. I just now finished the base, so I have to cast that, but that should go quickly. The resin is still kind of hard to see detail on, but here she is.

Also, I got a bit more work done to the Pirate Captain:

He looks a bit hunched over, but I'm hoping that adding some long a scragly hair will help off-set that.
Still lot of details to add to him, but I like how's looking.

I'm hoping for some quality Hobby time this weekend, but we'll see.

Thanks for looking,

RSJake
