It's blurry as Hell but to me initially it looked like standard Wolf Guard Terminator parts, (the cape and the wolf pelt over the left shoulder, as well as the right hand wielded SB all look exactly like those I've got modeled on my standard Wolf Guard Terminators... however, it appears to be welding a Crozius Arcanum in the left hand, a wolf skull helmet and perhaps additional detail on the right leg too... hopefully some high-res screens will reveal all. I kind of expected a Power Armour Wolf Priest/Ulric double pack though, as if memory serves, (and the rules on this stay constant), I thought only a Wolf Priest without TDA, Bike or Jump Pack could utilise Saga of the Hunter? Perhaps with the changes however Wolf Priest/Ulric have the Outflank by default, and the rules as above for rolling to utilise are significantly lower/automatic for these guys?

The model mentioned above very much reminds me of this guy: http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Space-Marine-Terminator-Chaplain (a conversion I never quite got around to). I'll be miffed if he is released in the same vein as the Terminator Captain in the Space Marine Strike Force Alpha, I simply do not need any more Space Wolves Packs/Wolf Guard Terminators after the eBay Bonanza known as Stormclaw

Thoughts on the new images for the Dreadnoughts:

Really love the heraldry on Bjorn upon closer inspection. He is the oldest of the living Wolves and deserves the bling. However, the Helfrost Cannon is a little disappointing visually for me, and looks off balanced when compared to the sheer weight and size of his Claw. In terms of the rules though, assuming it doesn't get hot it still wounds regular marines on a 2+ and the additional strength test for any ICs in the squad. As long as the points are hiked to high Heaven I'll still most likely run my 5 Plasma Cannons to deal with TDA. I think it gives you another option on the field, and the single shot can cleave through light armour and decimate ICs with high/no invulnerable saves. Would probably pop this on Bjorn, points pending, in place of the Autocannon or Plasma Cannon.

I really, really, really wanted to make myself like the Murderclaw head, but the main reason I like the Mark V sarcophagus is that I can imagine the charred remains of a once great soldier in there, fused with cybernetics and life support. I can suspend my disbelief I guess, I'll convince myself that his enhanced Wulfen senses are superior to tactical overlays/hampen his senses... yeah. Would be a shame to take away from his fluff... maybe I just need to stare long and hard at the sprue and come to terms with it! If there were some sexy new Wulfen models to accompany him, in say... a Wulfen Formation, *cough* GW are you there Margaret it's me *cough* it would be easier to swallow! I am glad there is a standard head in there though, not too keen on the Wolf Skull head either for the same reasons as the sarcophagus above, (appreciate it doesn't mean he has the remains of his head there, but aesthetically not for me).

Picture 6 clearly shows a Plasma Cannon far right and what would appear to be a Lascannon centre, so there are Bjorn's standard options accounted for, mounted on Venerable Dreadnoughts. Long Fangs equipped with Missile Launcher, Lascannon and Heavy Bolter, (from left to right), so no Helfrost Cannon there.

It'll be the regular Codex: Space Wolves for me. As much as I love gubbins, those are some damn expensive gubbins and I'd rather Pimp Logan's Ride

I still don't like Bjorn, still think the wolf's skull head looks silly and still think murderfang's exposed head looks silly.

But it looks like there's enough parts in there to make basically whatever you want, so it's all good.

I do wonder how Bjorn would look if the designs on his "chest" were not painted gold, but rather painted like the old banner. That might make it look alright.

Yay, for this picture. I was uncertain just how big the new flyer was. This image really helps in the decision process. Its nice that it appears to be rather beefy. As a modeler/painter first I like that it will look good on display.

I am liking the dreadnought designs but Murderfangs exposed head is just stupid, that is something chaos would do, and i though marines interned into dreadnought were inside a fluid sack (similar like in the matrix)?

I don't want to jump to conclusions because I know the Helfrost cannon has only been seen on Bjorn but isn't it generally GW's policy of putting all available weapons for a model in the box it comes in?

What are the chances the shield/helfrost Dread can happen?

Hasn't there only been the one shield dread shown so far, though?

If they've only painted up the one dread with a shield, we're just not going to see other combos.

I can't see it, guess I'm looking in the wrong place. An interesting comment made on the Naftka post was the fact that we are getting the supplement for Grimnars Great company. It'll be nice for the attention to be taken away from Ragnar so that people realise that there are other colours to paint wolves

I don't think a single Naftka SW rumor has been right. Why start now? The WP in TDA is probably based on the picture that has been discussed, which appears to be a conversion. But hey, I'd love to be wrong. But I'm not hanging my hopes on Naftka speculation.

Do GW ever feature conversions on their first party images? I was under the assumption that they only ever used their own figures, within reason of course i.e. those Long Fangs are clearly Space Wolves Pack legs, torso, head with Space Marine Devastator weapons and backpacks. I've never seen a straight up creative kitbash though, so I'm erring on the side of believing this to be a new Wolf Priest model.

Although I keep banging on about "they should have done a double kit for Power Armour Wolf Priest/Ulric, Power Armour Wolf Lord/Ragnar" I never even considered that they might offer Ulric TDA as an upgrade and this could be that very thing. If it is, then good for you GW!
