Just to be clear, both of them were sculpted many months ago for Darkholds and I didn't touch them since.

Seeing Scaethean here is great...and I know it's not your fault at all...your work is epic.

How come these guys have toes? Big fiends like Krull had hooves.

Then again all the craven fiends have toes... so maybe this is a compromise by giving them big elephant feet?

I'm guessing these will be 80/100mm based. Kinda like the Infernii equivalent of the Cawrdraig?

Yeah, good thing Rob followed up with some renders to accidently prove my words :p

I understand, but all I can do is to ask for a tiny bit more patience. Cannot confirm or deny though...

That being said, we work hard on dealing with that backlog first and foremost

They've added a miniatures goal:

Rob has stated that he wants to get Allan Carrasco booked to do these in 2019 hence the goal

and that's tipped it over the last couple of hundred quid into funding,

so if anybody was waiting for that stroll on over

I guess it was too much to not have a KSer with a miniature backlog. But based off what I see from various painting groups the bog bests must sell quite well for Mierce so I could see why he'd want to book Allan up for another group of them.

They don't play Mandolins- everyone knows bears play banjos!

Don't you mean Showbiz Pizza? And in Yx's defense, the Mandolin would be the Euro equivalent of a banjo.

EDIT - Why are you mods spoilering this picture, when the GIGANTIC picture just a few above it is not? And don't tell me it's content... it's not a disturbing, or a big picture, otherwise I'd have spoilered it to begin with.

Couldn't tell you before but Rob just leaked it actually :p

Should be a nice Mierceday tomorrow - Cogwyfern, Scethæn and possibly Grima...
Bob will be doing Schyrós, Wildeswin and Selkilias + Grima on Manasceancan after that...

So yes to both and a few more

Also, there's an update I think you guys missed with some preorders and stuff, I don't have time to make fancy post now, but here it is:

EDIT:

Fancy post with images:

Bædubera and the Bog Beasts

Whilst that's an excellent name for a band in our opinion, we're not talking about some musical supergroup - we're talking about allowing you to purchase them!

That's right, thanks to the urgings of many backers, we've decided to allow you guys to purchase the awesome Bædubera (even though we didn't unlock him) and find a way to reserve Allan Carrasco for the Bog Beasts. More details on that below, but first...

Ergred, Bædubera

Let's start with Ergred. He now counts as unlocked and you should be able to see him in the Templar's Forge: Miercendise category if you backed the project. If you didn't, send a mail and we'll give you access.

Ergred, Bædubera

Bæduberas, defiler-bears, are the ultimate weapons of vengeance for the Anglecynn for their might is equal to their intelligence and cunning. The greatest of the man-bears, even a single Bædubera strikes terror into the enemies of the Beornice. Armed with a brutal beræx and a bear-trap to throw and entrap the enemy, the Bædubera will be around 70mm tall to the eye and will stand on an 80mm base.

Ergred was drawn by Kurt Jacobi and he'll be sculpted by Bob Płociennik.

Bædubera Warrior Profile

Now, the Bædubera being unlocked means he needs a profile - and because we're nice fellows we've updated the Anglecynn muster to give him one. Watch out for that bear-trap!

Anglecynn Kindred Muster v1.29
Note that all of the other musters will be updated shortly as it's nearly the end of June.

Beasts of Cill Chonn Bog, Bog Beast Unit
Now for the Bog Beasts. With Allan Carrasco somebody you should really reserve for the year ahead as he's so busy, we thought it would be great to get the Bog Beasts on this project so we can do so, as we won't be holding another Darklands project for a long while. So we did - but we didn't get far enough, unfortunately.

So we came up with a plan.

We've put 50 Beasts of Cill Chonn Bog, Bog Beast Units on our webstore for you to purchase, and once all 50 are sold, that's them unlocked, basically - and then we'll get Allan to sculpt them next year!

New Limited Edition Sucking Mórannach

To tempt you into purchasing them now rather than waiting for someone else to purchase them, we've also decided to bring you a strictly limited edition version of Mórannach opening his chest to consume an enemy of Eriu. If you've purchased one of the limited edition units of the Bog Beasts, you'll get him - and nowhere else! There'll be no way to purchase him after those first 50 units have gone. So get him while he's there and we'll get the Bog Beast unit unlocked quicker!

Beasts of Cill Chonn Bog, Bog Beast Unit

Unfortunately the artwork for Sucking Mórannach is not yet done but it will be on Friday, thanks to Kurt Jacobi's ministrations; it can't be helped as he is travelling, but on Friday we'll bring you some lovely art and a mailshot to boot, which should get things moving of course.

Until then, feel free to purchase the unit now and help to unlock them because we know that artwork is going to be awesome!

Don't Use Moneyback on the Bog Beasts

If you've added to your pledge on this project to get the Bog Beasts, feel free to use your Moneyback on the unit - but otherwise we would ask all of you not to use Moneyback

Bog Beast Unit Options

Once you've purhcased the limited edition Bog Beast unit you'll be able to get a hold of the other unit options - either the individual warriors or the unit of two. Just contact us and we'll give you access to get them.

If you've already got Mórannach and you don't want the limited edition version, you'll have to wait until the unit is sold out before you can purchase the unit options. Just bear in mind you really, really need two units of these guys...

Updates!

Of Cogwyferns and Līcwācas

It's so bloody hot! But then, it is summer, so we shouldn't complain... anyway, we have another superb update for Darklands: Savage Hordes II thanks to Bob Płociennik, who is cracking on apace.

Let's make a start!

We've some lovely miniatures to show you this week,

The Stonewings of Y Garn are Cogwyferniau, mini-wyverns - well, to us, anyway! Tyffagahaw has kind of spoiled us in terms of size - and rumours of riders for them cannot be confirmed at this stage.

The leader of the unit is called Haggraes...

...although he isn't related to Haggrid and he doesn't have a hut.

A warrior of the unit is Awassaw...

...and he does have a hut.

The last Cogwyfern is Goccag!

These guys should be a Wave 24 shipment as we've tons of printing to do...

Ahh, Grīma. Such a lovely chap, once. Now he's just full of hatred and bile... note he's pronounced "GRY-mə" and Līcwāca is pronounced "LYCH-war-kə". Both y's are pronounced as in eye, not in bit.

Manasceancan-rider Grīma is coming soon!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Beetle of the Crags

We have good news, Darklands: Mighty Monsters fans - our very own Bob Płociennik will be further turning his attention to this project in July and so we'll be bringing you some bloody awesome monsters as well as today's awesomeness!

Just the one miniature to show you today, for the Jutes, but what a miniature it is... coming to a tabletop near you soon to both dominate and terrify, here's the utterly brilliant

Sculpted of course by Bob Płociennik from the artwork by Danny Cruz, Scethæn is a mighty crag beetle of the Jutes. Standing on a 120mm base, this thing will be massive and awesome!

We are hoping he'll be a Wave 24 (October) shipment!

I love that Mierce made a unit of wyverns

Also re: the closing of a bunch of KS preorders (check yo' email!), I might be crumbling and get I just caved and ordered the trio of scuttle bois:

Price seems pretty great for all three! And I'll figure out a way to jam them into AOS.

I was looking for more pics of the sculpt and found this scale shot. Funny how tiny our crab lad looks

To be fair, those are 3 MASSIVE models next to him. They're all on 120mm bases, and he's only an 80mm. Still, it looks great to see a size match like that.

Why do I feel that Giant Beetle fighting the Giant Turtle will be something that happens all too much in the Darklands?

Two more scale shots from that table:

EDIT: Man, 80mm is a weird size. Current plan is to run the scuttlers three as triple soul grinders ... on 160mm bases apparently o_O I actually think it'll work out with those bloody huge pokers, but we'll just have to see. Whenever these things ship (having seen a cast of one makes me hopeful it's pretty soon?)

I just got a shipping notification for a small amount of Metal's I've been waiting on. Is the metal casting in house yet or is that still a bit off?

Not even sure what KSer these are from to be honest but it is my first shipmine relating to their backlock in at least 8 months. So hopefully things are getting back on pace.

Edit: Savage hordes 2. SOme of the things being shipped I forgot I had ordered so I actually picked up in the first surplus sale earlier this year.
