The point is to mark objectives ^^

Some times in game you will have what we call an "objective", some place in the game that is necessary for the victory or such. Units must be near those objectives to control or contest them, and so you will need something to show where the objective is.

About the size: "oficial" GW ones have bases that are slighlty smaller than 25mm (i think it is 20mm). But normally you can just use a 25mm base as the starting point, and "size limitator". Not that sometimes those objective markers could not be bigger (lets say 30-40mm base is the max).

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...

I used 40mm bases for mine, it makes a simpler build and paint for me.

I love the flag. It's well done, and its got old school "Capture the Flag" feel... I have a feeling an Orkish version "Kaptur dis 'ere Flayyg!" on a stack of explosives would be hilarious.

2/3rds of the games in 5th edition work based off of having to hold an objective at the end of the game by having a scoring unit (usually a troops choice) within 3" of it. If an enemy has a scoring or non-scoring unit within 3" of it at the end of the game then you don't get points from it. I don't know if there are any requirements but maybe something like a Reaver Titan might be a bit much 25-40mm base and the average height of a space marine is usually pretty standard. Obviously in friendly games you could make whatever you want

The objective games in my local tournaments use either 40mm based markers or poker chips which are, incidentally, 40mm in diameter as well.

I've got a few custom markers made for my armies, but no pics. :(

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Well, i would start with something that interests you or goes along with any model you might have been using. That would be a great start.

I guess any size base could work, but obviously, you wouldn't want it too bag (60mm was really the largest base size I think I've ever used), but the larger you go, the more space you would have to work with . I'd say start with a 40mm base and see where it takes you!

I really like the wolf priest and the large tau in show. The fallen marine still fighting is sweet also, I'd love to know how he did the intestines. Now I want to make some objectives.

Also, brilliand job to the DE player because anyone playing DE has a billion of those parts laying around and its a great use of them
