Those are really nice CT... love the shell holes in the dread and the feel of the orky objective.

@alarmingrick: those are some clever objectives! Also, they could probably be used as HWT if you needed them to.

Great, great thread. I'll post mine later but didn't want to forget to mention what a good idea this thread was.

I have seen some very nice objective points in this thread! I get a really good inspiration from all those pictures, thank you for that guys.

Don't have objectives yet, only started playing WH40K this year and I am still working on my army. But I want to get the Aegis Defence Line or Imperial Strongpoint from GW to use the quad-gun to make some TL Autocannons for my Dreadnoughts. The base which the quad-gun is mounted on is useless then, so I am planning to use that for a objective point, to paint some Imperial HQ model like a statue and then put it on that quad-gun base.

Maybe a nice tip for other people, who hadn't thought of it

EDIT: before I get any question, I did not paint the quad-gun from the picture I linked! It's just to show what I mean.

The other thing you can do, if you have the bitz, is mount some lascannons or heavy bolters or whatever on it and call it a Tarantula turret; but it does work nice as scenery as well, whichever you think you'd get more use out of.

Loving all the creations in this thread.

Here is one I made a while ago. I usually use it as a decorative terrain piece, but he can function as an objective too since he is not too big.

That looks gross as hell, and I mean that as positively as possible. Looks very alien and slimy. How did you do the vomit\phlegm\slime in the middle?

Thanks.
The slime is PVA glue mixed with a bit of white paint, and the slimy threads are a transparent general cheap hobby glue painted white after drying. I then glossy varnished it when it was all dry again.

Resurrecting this thread from the depths to bring you my new Orky objective. Also I want to see more of yours...

A Giant Squiggoth Turd.

"How can it be an Objective?" you say.

"Sure it can be an Objective" I say...

For all these armies the motive for capturing it can be; (Imperium, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tau, Chaos Orks) - "Squiggoth ate my favourite *Insert Commanders Favourite thing here*".

For Necrons and Chaos Deamons (except nurgle of course ) I'm actually not quite sure. Help me out here...

For Tryanids- It's a delicacy, the finest Biomass around!

I guess I'm living up to my username...

Nice stuff here.

So, I've got two that I've made myself for my guard army.

The first is a generic memorial marker:

And the other one I did was a flag.

The neat part about it is that it's a flag pole with a warped-plasticard flag that's really easy to just clip onto the pole. That way I can leave the flagpole empty, and then attach the flag when I take the objective.

... and with them both:

Having seen the brilliant ideas for objective markers here, I'm inclined to make a few of my own. How would I go about making the base for one, and where do you get things like crates and barrels from?

@ NimbleJack3-You can get barrels and crates from GW with their Battlefield accessory set. Or you could get them much cheaper from some place online... I can't think of anywhere specific so you could just Google it. As for bases you can use any GW bases which for objectives are usually 40mm & 60mm bases. If you want to make your own just use thick card, MDF, plasticard stuff like that.
