I like how the Blues went from a 5-1 win against the Islanders to a 5-2 loss against the Ducks.

I mean, I know the Ducks have been great this year, but really? It was an ugly game.

Yeah... they were slow out of the gates again.

I totally blame the players on this... I don't know what Hitchens can do with this crew...

Glad for the win for D, but that was just a bad game overall. Horrible officiating.

Yeah, it was painful to watch, though I don't think that the call on Schneider at the end really changed anything, other than to increase the margin of victory for the Wings. Brunenr was playing significantly better vs the Rangers, though he had some terrible luck on having calls against him or just having things not go his way in general, think he's starting to get desperate which is making him sloppy.

Watched the Bruins game last night, was shocked that Phaneuf didn't get penalized for that hit on Miller. Good game though, beautiful come back by Boston, those first 3 girls were lovely.

Phaneuf should at least the same 5 game suspension Neal got for his knee on Marchand... Neal was basically coasting, Dion went full speed into a defenseless player and plastered his face across the boards.
The officiating is pathetic when obvious dirty hits like that don't get called.

Thornton is probably looking at 7-10+ games for his thuggery on Orpik.

Poor Shany probably spent the early morning banging his head against a wall at all the complete stupidity that went on this past weekend!

Thornton is suspended until he goes in for his in person review.

A lot of Detroit fans were pissed we didn't persue him harder. I'm glad we didn't. He isn't nearly as good as he was made out to be, and the contract he ended up with is probably better then he's worth at this point. Now he's got the skill talent to grow into a good player, but right now he's gotta long way to go to really get there.

Well, it doesn't help that he came to the Devils. We play a VERY different brand of hockey from the Red Wings (I mean come on, the NHL basically had to change the rules of the game as a result of the way we play), so in my opinion a lot of his issues are a result of him having to try to fit into our system. I think he was successful here at first because so many of our players this season were new and we weren't quite playing the system as intended, but now that we are hes trying to adapt.

Just gotta shake my head at the refs...

Detroit scored an early goal tonight, and got waved off, saying Cleary was in the crease and interferring with Thomas.

Video review showed Cleary was no where close. Getting sick of these bad calls.

My god, this shootout in Buffalo is getting ridiculous... 9 shooters so far...

10 shooters, Sens fall and continue the trend of winning 1 night and losing in the next on the 2 games in a row :-\

Blues vs Jets has been very entertaining... tied 1 to 1.

Blues are playing really well.

Yeah, that was pretty awesome. I was at dinner with the wife & kids when the game started and my phone buzzed with the first 3 TB goals and I thought, "Well, I'm not sure I should even turn this game on when I get home."

I'm glad I talked myself in to watching it, it was awesome. What a hell of a game!

*sigh*

Jared Cowen suspended for 2 games without pay for an illegal check to the head last night against Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons. No penalty was called on the play.

Edit: Just bought tickets to my second NHL game I'm so excite

Well Brunner finally rediscovered how to play, scored two last night! Too bad the defense and Marty couldn't figure out how to stop Columbus, because we blew a 3-1 lead and lost 4-5.

Another crazy Caps comeback from 3 down..... I'll take the two points, but we gotta get out of the habit of getting down multiple goals...

Dobb's auto repair (the dude moving his hands around was just odd), the dirt cheap chicken (with bad special effects included), and I think the Missouri Lottery ones were weird as well...

Though Ohio does have the guy camping outside of a store on Black Friday saying he got all of his shopping done when he bought a bunch of scratch-offs and was just there for the camping, so I guess there is that.

But agreed, hella fun game. The entire third period I was like, "how are the Sens gonna feth this up?" Because I've seen too many games this season where we lose after having the lead because of some dumb momentum killing goal. And then my feed cut out right as my twitter feed announced the Sens won, so I found another feed that was like on a minute delay or so, and caught the game winning goal. I'm really surprised that one got by, it seemed like a half-arsed shot by Ceci. Speaking of good saves, did you see that pad stack save by Lehner?!

1.) Ha, right? Pretty awesome. One of my best friends is from Picton, Ontario, and we were texting back and forth all game. Too bad she got the last laugh!

2.) Hahaha, gotta love Dirt Cheap! I know plenty of people from the Illinois-side that go to Missouri specifically to get cheaper cigs from Dirt Cheap.

Jeez, the Blues might as well have been playing against Sharknado. What's that, three losses in a row to those guys?

The Sharks is a very good team.

We were also without Backes, Schwartz and Sabotka. Those three guys are the "heart & soul" of the Blues offense imo (and Steener).

And here the Caps were down 3 goals to the flyers and I sez, now we got 'em exactly where we want 'em...

Guess we need to get out of the habit of spotting teams a three goal lead.

I am guessing (haven't had a chance to check yet) that young Mr. Wilson will spending some time away from the ice for that hit on Schenn.
