A post from you is a nice Christmas present to us all. Amazing amount of detail and story in your piece as usual

I don't know, but it smells...

Thanks for the kind comments as ever.

Latest element in my Lady Scrappers crew is the Scrap Monster. A rusting, retro-fitted hulk of overloaded firepower. Perfect for sitting on top of those salvage sites that require just a bit more work.

It's not big, it's not clever, but let's do it anyway.

Thanks Oshii, the base model is a Tamiya 1/48 Abrams, with bits from Crooked Dice (Scooter and some stowage), TT Combat, Tiny Furniture and Ramshackle Games.

It's not big, it's not clever, but let's do it anyway.

Thank you for info, 1/48 fits perfectly for 28(32)mm models indeed.
I was watching your blog here from a long time, you are doing really great work, it's very inspiring not only for me I think.

Brilliant work on that Abrams! All those details really tell a story. My favorites are the scooter and that Vault-Tec box.

Thanks for the continued encouragement all.

Latest Lady Scrapper stuff to round out the crew. A new quad bike, an outrider (scout) and the Tug, a ton of pulling power equipped with hydraulic rams and electromagnetic clamps to shift salvage around out in the wastes.

Nice work oncall. Particularly like the chain and clamp for the tug.

I can't decide between the tug and the scout as which one is the best in the bunch, so tug wins (it always does). Very nice and balanced mix of paint, panel lining and weathering!

Great scenery, although same base color adds here to the MDF problem of "everything has the same thickness". But that's just my envy speaking.

Second radar, also from Uncertain Scenery (the tower was made by someone else but I can't remember who). Again MDF, tethered using salt and hairspray plus oils and powders.

It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. Been a long time since I last posted. I've been working on a large aircraft hangar for my Junktown settlement. The hangar has been converted for use as a vehicle repair shop. I'm still working my way through it and it's not completely finished, but I've done enough to show some pics here. Most of the pics are taken with the roof off, but I've taken a few 'atmosphere' shot with the roof on.

See what you think.

This is high artisttry, but how could you DO such a thing to the SHADOmobile? CRUELTY!

Well you've certainly done them justice in their new roles. The whole junktown setup is totally amazing. And rusty. But mostly amazing. Which is amazing in itself given the sheer amount of rust

Wow, that's twice now that I think you're starting your post with a photo of a real life thing you used as inspiration. Beautiful continuing work on Junk Town. Any group shots of a majority of Junk Town set up on the horizon?

Just starting to think about how to incorporate the hangar into a larger board, so I hope so, but it's quite a big undertaking.

Amazing work. Thought the hanger was a photo for inspiration at first . Love all the bits from different manufacturers in the shelves.

Has a very District 9 feel to me.

This blog is utterly amazing. I just read every post start to finish and I’m blown away. My jaw is still hanging open. There were several times that I thought you were posting a photograph of a real world object to use as inspiration only to realize it is your model! I can’t compliment you enough. This is some of the best stuff I have ever seen on dakka.

I hope someday you will show us photos of the fully completed Junktown all together.
