Nah, after a while they just re-relase them stand-alone, without all the Underworlds-specific cards and such. You still can get all the Season 1 warbands.

This mini is mediocre af, doesn't hold a candle to the old winged vampire lord in any respect.

It's just a crime, though, to have such a great vampire as a limited release.

It's a week's worth of time, starting this Saturday, and available directly via their webstore or in-store. The "in-store" side of things is limited by stock though.

They're "limited" for how long they'll remain in rotation for that season. The Crimson Court still have some (un)life left in them.

Additionally, they're in the army books now. That's why GW does the cardless releases as well.

Not a single word in the above refutes his original statement.

You can spin it any way you want Kan - and you have - but it is a limited model.

Glorious Nation of U.S.S.A!

I like the more unique vampire aesthetics compared with the classic WHFB versions.

The fun part is that the classic WHFB aesthetics are there too.

This event Vampire? She definitely could be easily ID'd as a Necrarch.
The Crimson Court's vampires? There's a Von Carstein, a Blood Dragon, a Strigoi, and a Lahmian.

6 & 7 definitely have art that ties in with Slaanesh and Nurgle - I'm not seeing it as clearly in 9 (for Tzeentch - though I guess the entity is sort of cyclopean, which could be a callback to Magnus), and we don't see the art for 8.

12 includes an Imperial cruiser, for some reason, and I guess 11 count be meant to be a tie to the Golden Throne.

Interesting art, regardless - I'm sure there are a lot of minor details I'm not picking up on there.

GaroRobe linked an old WarCom article that has better pictures of the hard to see cards and 9 definately has the Tzeench symbol with 8 depicting Khorne

Spoiler:

Weird thing about the Nine card- that upper right symbol, the stylized '4'? That's not actually a 4. Its the astrological symbol for Jupiter (or at least a stylized version). The added dot isn't typical,
but I'm wondering if the artist was simply being careless and accidentally added a real symbol, or if there's some Tzeentchian literalism or symbolism going on there.

Something to note with regards to the Emperor's Tarot is that it's designed to be read "normal" or "inverted". So it might be intended to be read inverted.

However that bit about Jupiter is highly interesting to know so thank you Voss!

Ah, so they're going to put two equal sizes forces in the box, one custard versus a dozen or so GSC.

I mean, we've already had a third team with the Bright Crusaders, though they look to be out of stock of FW at present. And the Norse are a fourth human-based team when they rock up. Amazons give you a fifth.

Not sure where you go with a third Empire/human team, but there is the potential for teams from other areas - a Bretonnian team, with a mix of Knights and Peasants could be interesting (though might now step on the toes of the Empire Nobility team), or something Tilean.

It makes sense when you know why that's the astrological symbol for Jupiter. It's a stylised Greek letter 'zeta', representing the sound 'Z', from the name of the god Zeus (because Jupiter = Zeus Pater). And Tzeentch is also a god whose name starts with that sound.

Also, Jupiter in astrology is associated with fortune, exploration, business, knowledge and freedom. It is the ruler of the Ninth House. So, yeah. Tzeentch.

That would be awesome! Bunch of armoured knights who can punt the ball downfield, but not catch it and a rabble of peasants trying to run and pick it up to score.

No models, but I believe an official list existed and they were an option in BB2.
