i have plans afoot... i will do a whole squad... six at least... depends if i want to have great coats to go with the guns or if i go with empire militia for heavy conversion work...

Well I am working on two steampunk power fists and a large hammer for the Heresy Investigator, so I should be able to cast those separately. And I want to do a couple of swords and axes, so yes, I have been thinking of CCW.

I have enough bottles cast to make a mold of 40 bottles, 20 of each type of bottle. Most of them are attached to the master already, I have 5 of each type to add to it, so I should have a mold by the end of the weekend, and start making the clear resin casts by next week! I sent Dave the clear ones I had, including the one I drilled. I never did get around to trying the floor wax trick Jacqueling suggested, maybe on the next batch. I did send a non-clear resin sample bottle to everyone I sent the weapon sample pack to, along with a couple of skull heads for those that requested them, or that I promised them to. Sort of like a teaser.

Speaking of the hammer for the Heresy Investigator, I am thinking of using a lighter striker for the main part of the hammer head, and adding bits and gubbins to make a steampunky hammer head. I have some ideas I want to try out for the hammer shaft, but I will have to experiment on that. I sculpted the left shoulder pad last night, I'm not sure if I like it, so I might try that again.

Again, no pictures, sorry. I'm pulling a Baiyuan! Just mostly been thinking of stuff. But hopefully I'll have some hobby time this weekend. I do have a list of Honey-Do's but I should be able to find some time.

There is actually a convention here, in my city this weekend! It's called MisCon, and I didn't hear about it until late yesterday! If I had some more inventory or at least an Army painted up and ready, I might go. I might go to look around anyway, but they didn't advertise at all! Kind of makes me mad I didn't hear about it sooner!

I have made a successful pour of the clear resin bottles! Although the mold is missing one of the 40 bottles, one must have come loose and floated into the mold. Oh well.

I currently have a blue tinted clear resin pour in the pressure pot!

I'll get pics of these when tomorrow, and post them Tuesday hopefully.

Actually, I should have lots of pics on Tuesday, I have been able to get more done than I thought I would!

Including getting work done on the Heresy Investigator. I have most of the components for the hammer, but I think it might be too big.(big surprise there, huh?) I'll take some pics and let you all vote on if it's too big or not.

well, im really liking the bottles, i also like some of your weapons your making.. and that boiler that dave posted on his thread is cool as well

I got the package yesterday after getting back to uni. Let me say that spure was tiny! but the detail and the weapons are very nice!

Ive already cleaned them up and had them drying over night ready to be used today. Pics to come on my P&M once i find time to upload the pictures

I've also started working on a right handed Chaos Marine-type Power Fist for a client, since there is a distinct lack of them.. Just the bare bone right now, but it's shaping up.

I even got some paint on my Plague Marine conversion! WIP pics later.

I do agree that we have a great community! More than half (more like 90%) of my projects come for here!

And Dave, I'll have to catch up on your thread tomorrow, I'm already at least 6 pages back, and I had a long day.

Tomorrow should prove to be interesting too! Later.

Yeah, I have seen that mini before, it looks better in Swampy's pic than in the advertisement for it! Maybe it's the angle the pic is taken at.

It might just be the angle of the picture. It might also be the "armor" throwing off the perception.

I need to make some brown tinted clear bottles! Painting lables on these things is going to be tricky.

If/when you paint the heresy imvestigator, I think a good idea would be to paint the skin below the neck as a tight scifi suit of some description, like the Imperial Assassins have. After all, the bowells of a 41st millenium underhive is not the kind of place you'd want to be caught with so much exposed skin, what with all the mutants, skin-searing chemicals, pointy things and sex-mad gangers.

seeing all these awesome lines of bottles... wow... and the clear resin came out a treat! looks very good... i definatly need a good idea what you can cast with that stuff soon... maybe you should do something like frodo or a predator in clear resin as other companies have been done before... a tau stealth suit...

specially the quantum range of bottles look awesome...no that is the wrong word here mate... more like radiating!!!^^



the FHS looks very good... tho i am a bit puzzeld for the big tank on her back... i guess i have to sit this one out and have to wait how this develops further...

by the way... i took a closer look at her buttcheecks...for pure quality reason i asure you... and there is a small irritation on the "transition" from her thigh to her right buttcheack... if you take a closer look at this you will see it too...

and the heretic fistaugmentation looks very promising...

hey man i thought i would do my pop in every other week or so to see whats been happening. and the steampunk guns looks pretty awesome. the investigator is looking mighty fine. glad to see your bottle come out. and i couldnt agree more when i say there isnt enough chaos loved pfists running amok. well lets see more awesome and im very jealouse you had jagerschnitzel that was my favorite when i was a kid in germany.
