In actual "doing stuff" related news, I have begun to re write "The Fall Of Calliope VI". Its been some times since I set pen to paper, and painting seems like a massive chore currently that writing seems the best option to maintain the hobby flow...

as each part is written I'll endeavour to publish it here.

Oh waaaaaaaay back in Rogue Trader: Warhammer 40,000 days, the rules for weapon strength versus armor etc in fantasy and 40k were identical. they used to do odd ball events for Games Day where SM and Fantasy armies could duke it out using the rules they had and the magic/psykers were effectively the same as well.

Erm, I think I'm going to publish it in sections, kinda like a periodical in a magazine, I hope to have the first available section for you all by next weekend if not earlier. much editing and writing to be done yet mind.. but the story has changed dramatically for those who remember the original

lols actually no, I'm saving that for the "sequel" as it were... this is a rewrite in entirety of the original. As I've dropped the Blood Angels from it an replaced them... plus I have more characters to introduce (if you've been paying attention to my armylist additions)

er...a no on the last part but the more charcters part sounds good and the slight hint of a sequel sounds even better

with how I know the story to unfold in my minds eye, I know there has to be a follow on tbh... its logical.. even when all hope is thought to be lost, there is always a light in the darkest of places... even in commorragh there is light after all

Nice question actually... Well I've never considered myself as much of an artist or writer, but with people saying otherwise I do what I can lols.

Anywho, to answer your question... I usually start with the idea, what ever "it" may be, and ponder variables of the story. this usually goes on for some days and ends up with me having arguments with myself lols. Then I "map" it out, but breaking it down into subsections/minichapters. I nearly always try and work the first section as a prologue along the lines of leaving the reader thinking "WTF?" as for me it works for dramatic emphasis. from there I build the map titles and descriptions to a crescendo of sorts and finish with a epilogue. the other thing I try to do is to keep each section the same size in word count, this gives me something that feels balanced without going off track too much. All of this goes hand in hand with someone proof reading and helping with the editing process, largely because I'm dyslexic, but also because I missed a massive amount of schooling growing up, so I lack the knowledge for punctuation and sentence structure.

Also, nearing the end of the second read through and edit to the Prologue of the Calliope rewrite. and no, that doesnt mean you lot get it early. I've decided to write several more sections before releasing the first, as I want to stay ahead of my publishing each part.

I will start (fingers and other extremities crossed) unleashing it on you lot next sunday, and every subsequent sunday after.

Reet, tiny update. the following work on Calliope is happening:

Prologue is complete, while.
Foundations is in the edit stage.
The silence is being mused.

So, no pics I noticed.
