Le Sigh. Look, this is supposed to be for magic. Thaumcraft (and probably the eventual EE3) can do everything that IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft and RedPower can do (aside from saws- those things are ballin')- it just takes a different kind of progress tree.

There's something called the Arcane Bore, if you want to Quarry. There's Wands of Excavation, and Lightning, and Fireball. There's boots and enchantments that let you jump incredibly well- there's magnificent armour. There's ways to repair, and create, and defend. You just need to learn them- and you won't learn them if you continue to lean on the crutch of Engineering.

I'll be on later, hopefully to finish the basics of the tower.


Also, I'm Lord of Earth (possibly Renewal, possibly Mystics- the Wiki and the thread have little information on non-zephyr Tools yet). You cannot be Lord of an aspect if you use technology- it just doesn't work.

I will do no science at the fortress

I will bring my Science up to scrtach, build something massive, then possibly come investigate the magical side of things...

However, I do not claim to be a master of anything.

Also, I think Science and Magic may have to work hand in hand if the Enricment center s to become a reality...

At a quick count, you died eleven times, got your inventory back twice in that time, and yet still didn't think to put it somewhere safe, or stop killing yourself.
If you're suffering lag, you get away from the dangerous things, it's that simple. So... no.

Ugh, also no. If you get precious items, the best place to test them out is not the skylands...

Eh no....

I died, went down, because I was near my inventory I picked it up, but because I died I lost it, that happened again and again. I tried to get my stuff numerous times but it was a 100+ drop.

It was impossible to get my stuff with out dieing, I got 1/4 of my stuff back from matapata, most of it junk.

Thats whay I hoarde Enderpearls...

easy way down...

My point is that I couldn't get my gear without dieing, so I tried about 30 ways, it wasn't possible.......

I admit that the sky lands wasn't a good place but i had just charged my armor there and would be glad if all i had refunded was my armor as that was all I had of major importance to me -- it doesn't even have to be charged

god dammit, darkinnit, the same thing happened again

-i was mining, lag spike, i fall 100 blocks, im sick of it and want my inventory reset!

Just out of interest, would anyone be interested in a science conglomerate like the triarii?

Remember there's only 5 lords but unlimited mages, adepts, apprentices etc.
So any practicers of magic cam sign right up!

And by that, I mean that once ultimate comes out, I may put in some time and utilize the full power that science grants me to dominate the Triarii. Fire magic will be nothing against the fires of Industry!

The number of science guys may outweigh the mages but I thing we'd have a fair fight, what offensive weapons does science have?

Wed just drop a shot ton of flux in a biome to ruin your science guys fun, it's a biome sized super weapon! And we have warded stone, glass and arcane doors, invincible to anything but it's maker!

All we'd have to do is sneak in, destroy your machines and thank your coolant out of you reactor and BOOM, bye bye science!

Pimp, do you have armour that will protect you against a nuclear blast at 5 paces, when science can make you fly, and also, nukes and scatter lasers. Just saying.
