I like the Trukk.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

The Orks have got some beautiful and very characterful models.

Some of the Daemon sculpts there (only a few) harken back to the illustrations in the RoC duology. I am very impressed with the Juggernaut.

But the Orks are really getting a huge amount of new models, well-deserved.

These sculpts are magnificent. My only worry with the Orks is how almost all of the models overstep the edges of their bases. While this reinforces that "IN YOUR FACE BADASS" theme, it will make it annoying trying to show off a nice base or trying to simply pile them into combat. All Orks should now be based on 40ml bases

Ugh, that truck is fugly. Hopefully it's as customizable as implied, cause I hate it.

The bike, however, is top notch! I also like the additional options on the boyz sprue. Dont like the shootas being in the hands... but otherwise it looks good.

Is that ork vacuuming up a grot?

Nice to see the return of the shokk gun.

Me too, but, once the Nerf Bat churns out Codex: Space Marines "Redux", they'll be absolutely no reason at all to take Terminators anymore!

Until the next edition...

Yeah THAT's was going on! I couldn't tell what was happening there. Makes sense - he's sucking up another hapless grot to zap into somebody's terminator armor. Awesome.

Why are there larger versions of smaller models (burnay boyz, trukk gunner etc.)?  Just curious if they sculpt them large and then shrink them somehow

They are called 3 ups, and are worked on before being used to make the smaller plastic models.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

They are, but that's old news. It's been know for a long time that GW was just going to recut the Ork Boyz sprues.

Man the new trukk and bikes have been coming for a LONG time now.  All my old trukks and bikes are going to be terrain soon I can tell.  There vehicles have needed an overhaul for years, and while its every ork players joy to mismash vehicles together to look like ork stuff, starting off with something good makes it even better.  A few of the models like the squig bombs and rokkit hammers confirm the rumors of the new codex too, so equally as good as the new models, it looks like orks are in the running to be a tier 1 army to boot!  look out mech eldar and nidzilla!

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

*giggles* The new sprues are beautiful! I'm soooo glad they didn't waste resources on redoing Brian Nelson's masterpieces, but rather added some useful new bitz! LOVE IT

Those plastic crew models are definitely Nelson sculpts- and for that I'm very, very grateful!

The metal models aren't Nelson work, but at least they're nice approximations of his style.

Those Ork lootas look to be resin casts of future metal models. I'm basing that off of the lack of two-sided joins in the weapons, which we'd expect based on how the SM Devastator sprues were cut.

Lastly- there's a 3-up Grot in one of the photos... that means we're getting plastic grots! The best part? It's clearly a Brian Nelson sculpt

Here's the grot:  (scroll down)
warseer.com/forums/40k-rumour-roundup/104210-ork-rumour-thread.html

It might not be a Nelson if only because the face, hands and feet are taken from his plastic goblins and as such it's tougher to tell that the model isn't his (the remaining parts are easiest to mimic his style convincingly on).

It does feel like Nelson's work to me, though.  Regardless- it's clearly based on the Gorkamorka grots Nelson did (this model is an exact copy of one) and they're using Nelson's parts to do the face, hands and feet.  So if it's someone else at least the good parts are Nelson
