Creating a second Artalax out of an FDM print from Diverging realms. Love the prints but they are a pain to assemble.

Kitbashed the last of my Stargrave Mercs into Skitarii, then build the Kataphron, and finally built the big walker thing - Onagar Dunestrider? that comes in the combat patrol.

Phew. That was some FIDDLY ass building. Not really an enjoyable experience but the end results are lovely.

Nearly at the end (build wise) of my 40k stuff now. A few bits and bobs and it'll all be built. I'm gonna get some chunks primed as well and I'll tap away at painting through the winter.

Feels good though, to make a dent in the Pile and shrink it's volume by getting stuff off of sprues. My fantasy Pile will be much less annoying to work through because it's not as much modern GW stuff, which I find an absolute chore to assemble.

I think something is wrong with me...

I honestly considered buying Vulkan He'stan and starting a Salamanders army.

"Vulkan: There will be no Rad or Phosphex in my legion. We shall fight wars humanely. Some things should be left in the dark age."
"Ferrus: Oh cool, when are you going to stop burning people to death?"
"Vulkan: I do not understand the question."

Today I dug out an Escher and Goliath box that I got half price back in 2018 and assembled them.

And wow, I should not have waited so long! They are lovely kits, go together really nicely, and have a load of character. I only wish the Goliaths were on 25mm as is proper and civilised.

I've now got 4 boxes left in the pile to assemble. Of course, lots to paint still, but assembly is a major stumbling block for me.
