Oddly, I liked them better unpainted. I guess I like my Orks a darker green. Not sure. Hopefully it is just the paint, because I love the unpainted pics.

There's just no substitute for true Nelson work.  It's just more apparent when the models aren't basically build-ups from Nelson plastics/metals.

Yea, they look like poor imitations.

I am all for those tankbustas. Those and the Kommandos are my favorites so far. Well,... and the bikes... and the trukk,.. and well damn near everything. Sigh.

Does Nelson still work for GW?

Still love the Lootas, Bikes and man is that Painboy mean. I really like him.

My thoughts exactly, particularly on the orky character models (wyrdboy & shokk attak specifically).  I can only assume once real ork players get their hands on 'em they'll inject some color and life to the skin, gear, weapons.

the new bikers look very nicely done. and the trukk is awesome.. not so sure about the tankbusters and looters, they look a bit "overhunched" to me. but they are new, and I won't complain about new orks. nope. never happen.

Those are awesome. I told myself "No new 40k armies!", I might have to retract that statement.

Does Nelson still work for GW?

To the best of my knowledge, yes he does, but I had heard a rumor saying that he didn't want to be just the 'ork sculpting guy' and has decided not to work on them anymore, much to my chagrin.  He certainly brought the life back into the ork line, and everything he's done for them is a result of what we see here now.

In the Grim Darkness of the 41st Millenium, there is only black paintjobs.............

Love the weirdboy and the painboy.. not a huge fan of the bikes but they aren't bad. The Trukk is awesome. About time we got new Orks

You know, the black latex gloves on the tank bustas are starting to bug me the more I see them. "Kinky" & "Ork" just don't go together so well

It's just a pity that they've chosen that paint job for the studio army. It's like Hive Fleet Albino and the Colours of Benneton Traitor Legion from the last couple of Codices - cool models, bad paintjobs.

Show me some of the new models in proper Evil Sunz, Goff or Deathskull colours... not generic angry Ork black.

I wish the paint job would have been nicer but its a bunch of new awesome ork models. SO I am very happy.

A weird boy? Wow they haven't released a new wierd boy model since the 2nd edition or 1st edition I think. Nice I am definately getting orks now.

They look really good.  After this long wait, they had better look good!  The trukk looks great, but I wonder how much it will cost.

Glad to see the Shokk Attak gun is coming back too.

According to the leaked release schedule a few months back the trukk will be $30.

$30?  Wow!  How big is that thing?  It looked humongous in the pics (at least compared to the driver).  That actually doesn't sound like a bad price for a model that size.  I was expecting something like $40 or $45.

GW doesn't seem to really price based on model size or complexity...$30 puts it exactly in line with the light vehicles and transports of other races. It would be $30 if it were a beautiful, gigantic Squiggoth, and it would be $30 if it was a plasticard sheet with wheels stapled on. But nonetheless, it is a very nice looking model for $30 -- certainly more characterful than a Rhino, and with WAAAAY more conversion-ready bitz, no doubt.
