yo marty, did you add texture plates to this landing pad, or is that how it is stock? btw the caution stripes are spot on, not too bright, perfectly dirtied

I am embarrassed to  say no...  if you are referring to the hazard stripes it was a side effect of sanding off a few mistakes.

no no no the texture im refering to is... the textured looking metals (diamond plating?) that i dont remember if it was on the stock model.. i only added that i love the stripes

Thanks Gitsplitta! It's been a stop, start project for nearly a year if memory serves. I actually lost interest in it because I suck at painting yellow (hopefully you all see how easy it can be now) and gave up on painting the hazard stripes out of frustration!
This I will say though it's a hard model to assemble lots of details for painting, and it looks super cool when it finished being painted. Buy one

It is a bit difficult to build that kit, it really isn't for someone who wants to hurry and halfass it though, (it will show if you do) it rewards you for being patient and working hard. Marty has shown how with some work, you can make it look better than GW-Painted!

Oh and I forgot to show some of detail work and trim work I've been doing. Not sold on the roof yet. I may have totally two design it. That's why I took a break and moved to the landing pad
Any suggestions would be awesome! I have trim pieces for the roof but I need a miter saw. I'm just not 100%

A lot of you have been asking for tips and suggestions on certain techniques. I am very very honored! If you want to PM me with your questions please give me a few days to answer. This looks fantastic! I had to read through most of these flippin' posts just to get to the good stuff. You should try going vertical now, build a central spire, like an Astronomicon waystation for astropaths or a Naval Command center. You've done most if not all of what's been done by GW and/or white dwarf and you did it extremely well. Do something that accentuates your style and creativity and sets your CoD apart from the rest! (apart from your top marks skill level already)
