Thanks again Rogue! Color choice is usually the hardest part for me, but this one just sort of worked out well. The weathering will be a bit less on this one, I really want to recreate the rust just beginning to spread from the panel lines similar to the original artwork for this tower.

Thank you sir!

Absolutely! The painting servitor keeps doing his job day after day, hundreds of years after he was programmed to do so!
Rawson wrote:! Now, Dave. Didn't we learn our lesson about overspray before? Hmmm?
Yep! And I neglected to use the extra tape, just because I was running low. It's all good, I will be able to easily touch that area up with the airbrush I just want the damn workday to get over with so I can get it done.
shasolenzabi wrote:Now that tower is looking very Necromundish!
Thanks man! That's the whole idea! I'm glad to hear i'm getting it right!
Thanks LDD!
If I had to buy a new one, I believe I'd go for an Iwata- I have read many good things about that brand.

Thanks Vik! I don't think I can be called a

Damn I want an airbrush now - Its never going to happen though.
My idea for archeotech - Crashed star trek shuttle... Or a tie fighter. Probably not though - why would they be there? But I love visual jokes. Maybe an Apollo style space capsule.
No seriously. Suspended animation pods? Giant robot? Enormous Tesla coils? Automatically Appended Next Post: OOOh ooh - the voyager space probe!

Yeah, but it needs to be some long-forgotten tech that was once actually used in the city. Imagine them building a dome over a ground-level city of today, then they keep building on top of that, over and over and over. If it crash landed there, it would have had to crash thousands of years ago with no one ever noticing it was there for thousands of years. Inquisitors would have made damn sure ANY Xenos tech was removed looong ago. These are good ideas on their own, and would make great modeling projects, but they don't really fit into the underhive setting. It's kind of like the old rule of thumb for a Halloween costume "If it requires explaining, it isn't that good of a costume" you know what I mean?
I could write fluff explaining WHY there is an 8-story yellow bannana building in the underhive, but people are mostly going to look at it and say WTF?

lol...but that halloween rule is sure what you should stick with... that is very sound reasoning...
but the cryo thinggummy sure is one heck of a close shave there... and you could gather lots of referrence pics from oh so many games...
but here is a new contestant... how about...:
a jetbike...everyone knows they are damn next to nonexistant nowadays... so a crashlanded one could be found...and this is awsomesauce all right... besides i doubt if the inquisition is THAT effective as you describe them...basically they are a bunch of flatfoots and brownnoses...and we all know how they can get sidetracked by a donut...

now we are cooking with fire!... madmax meets the underhive... that would be classy... also it is done already... dunno where but one guy is making a biker gang for munda... i have it in my subded list...deep down somewhere... he doesn´t update so often...
as for archeotech... mostly you just take your average not needed toaster or printer and give him the sledgehammer treatment...the remaining bitz that can be put on to a base...=instant archeotech^^... but you make this a really tough nut now...hmmm... i would strongly like to make a good recomendadion for that...but somehow i only get the not really good ones from my mind... that is now a matter of personal creative honor...
ok one more try... what about a lathe? with some old weapons on racks and on the actual lathe? many options for a cool archeotech thingies to get salvaged? you could try yourselv with making some eldarlike guns for once...

Holy Crap! when I got home today I had two packages of Dakka Karma!! It REALLY DOES come back around if you pay it forward- I COMPLETELY believe in it. And I am NOT a man of faith.
First, LDD is the MAN! He sent me these cool OOP Metal Catachans! I've never had any of these older flamers- I like them!
And then, Galorn suprised me with this big-ass box of his casted stuff! He even sent me a wall mold he made!
If you aren't familiar with Galorn's terrain, you MUST check out his thread!
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/120/391231.page
I cannot begin to explain how good it makes me feel to be a part of this EPIC community of hobbyists that we call Dakka! Sure, there are some on here that give all us geeks a bad name, but they generally don't hang out on the P&M Forums, for lack of talent on their own. But It makes me really feel glad to be counted amongst some true friends!

He basically built his walls exactly like I built my walls for the 20mm Stalingrad and Euro village but he did it in 28mm and added rivets! They are perfectly universal for anything at all really. I don't have any definite plans yet, but boy is my imagination going wild sitting here looking at them!
