Sweet I like the mould I have considered doing something like that myself I gather the sections are plaster

can you let me know how well they bond together so I can work out if it is a viable idea

I have also heard that Iwata are good but have only ever seen one over here and went back to get it and the dam thing had gone

Seems you have got a few new scenery pieces to play with now then does that me we will see more updates

That's because I MADE the wall one from scratch. its not Hirst arts. The Tiles are, but not the walls, doors, spacer/joiner bar or window inserts.

When stationed in Germany years ago, I got to collect some Graphic Novels of the Judge dredd collection. That art conveyued a simultaneous sense of massive spaces with claustrophobia set in. Plus the massive authoritarian rule of the judges, the inspiration for the Adeptus Arbites.

As much as we all know I would probably attempt such nonsensical huge projects, the wall-o-tenements idea seems most usable as open-backed,table edge terrain peices, accessible from the outside table edge

That means not too tall so you can lean over them and play.

Playability is a good thing to keep in mind! We have some sweet terrain at the FLGS, but (if placed on the table edge) is far too tall.

I liked the first hab picture you had up, though I imagine habs having smaller, more oppressing windows

for me that high skyscraper hive buildingstructure (phew...) would only make sense in building if you actually made a seperate table...just one big building...many storeys and a hell lot of work...the game would be rather like a 2D action shooter...like turrican ...supposed to be from left to right... a bit like snakes and ladders for 40k...

i think the best solution with these buitiful dentist plaster pieces is to do the same as galorn did...seperate buildings...

and it looks as if you need more clamps too^^

I Vote for that one, it's surely too big, but making it composed in more pieces can be the solution...4 or 5 floors for gaming and the rest just for demonstration...when you start playing you remove the "unneccessary" floors and keep the first 4-5

It will create a sort of illusion of "How tall is the building"...you don't need the rooftop to play XD

I've just marvelled at this so far but I agree with Zerba - the massed one has more of a 'Hive' feel.

Did you ever go back to your sewer pipes at all? Would be nice to see them incorporated somehow - great work so far, love this thread

"Dave, it does sound like you have an outdated instruction booklet for the airbrush you purchased. The adjusting screw was eliminated from this airbrush several years ago. If this is the case, I apologize for the confusion it has caused."

I love this for a hive. Maybe just make a big flat side, that you can you for the edge of the game. Like those big buildings who is creating the edges in computer games. It's a big project though.

And I'm another

I was seeing it as more the far long edge of a table, with play going across the length, with the chance of high-up hi-jinks on the face of the hab. A few balconies, maybe a couple of rooms with wrecked walls/windows for access.

Or, and this has long been a dream table idea for me, have it going up the legs of the table - so most of the playing area is based on the roof of that hab-block. Obviously, there could be another block on top - see above

Yeah but Elmers is soo much cheaper by volume... (and its plenty strong for gamer use once fully cured) but stronger is better...

Not a worry.. Takes around 24hrs for the RTV silicone to fully cure. get me the masters to make into molds... Heh.
