Can people in school not paint? Or did you think he wasn't in college. I am amazed at the amount of teachers you see places that you just wouldn't think are teachers. A good friend of mine teaches drama and he is not the kind of guy I would think would ever be a teacher.

@flibjibchaoscookie - I'm fighting the urge to paint smily faces (of a sinister sort) onto the DEldar... ; )

@ Gutsnagga and Nafarious - we teacher-folk are curious types! You never know where we'll pop up! (having said that, we're easy to spot: just look for the really grumpy person with hate in their eyes whenever children are too loud)

^ and the vacant stare when around large groups of people younger than them, and the curiously missing patches of hair from the sides of their head, and the tendancy to daydream about sealing themselves in a room with nothing but cushions and entertainment!

I'd say the vacant stare is barely-concealed seething resentment at lost youth, and that it is wasted on the young

Most teachers I know daydream about winning millions so that they can retire as fast as possible

(or maybe that's just me... )

I'm the best (miniature) painter in my school and I'm no way near this level of painting.

I'm the best (miniature) painter in my school and I'm no way near this level of painting.

I am probably the second best, the best is my good friend who also plays and paints.

it's been far, far too long since I've done any painting or posted, so abject apologies Dakka chums.

I'm back in the painting saddle, and continuing work on the DEldar. All I've focused on at the moment is the yellow undersuit, but the armour is base coated and washed with black, so I'll start on that tomorrow. As ever, I can see all the flaws in the photos, so I might go and smooth out some of the transitions on the spine plate.
