I went E was well... although I love the concept of C... I just can't see using a whole army of them.

C and D would go well together, using C for heroes or other rare/special troops to help emphasise them, and D for the rest.

I like C, but I'll vote for A in 30mm all the way...

A is my fav, followed by E. I have started to love round lip bases

C could allow for arc of fire game mechanics, and would differentiate your bases from any others on the market, though I think that would have more impact/make more sense on your larger models.

I went with E, because msot of my collection has similar base edges, and I like consistency. With C as my second choice, because if you're going to go non-standard, you may as well really go non-standard...

I think I am also going to say E - for two reasons:

1- it is simpler and cleaner, and that's definitely what I would want for my bases, so as to not distract from the figure itself

And

2- E is closest in look to GW's bases, and most of my stuff is GW stuff.

Thanks for putting this out to your fans, Mark. It's nice to see a game maker who values his customers' opinions!

E Mostly due to painting colors onto the base perimeter for squad Identification and cohesion.

E was actually my least favourite, for pretty much the reason most of you seem to like it - it's practically identical to GW bases.

I am really torn on C, as I can see the use with fire arcs and incoming damage location mechanics, but it just looks a little 'clunky' - maybe a more subtle version would work better.

So in the end, A was the winner for me. With B a close second as a good variation on A.

This is great to see, Mark! The problem I see with 25mm bases versus 30mm bases is the hole in the 30mm bases is 25mm, but the top of a 25mm base is usually completely covered, so there isn't a lip. So I take it you will be making two totally different styles of bases?

30mm bases with corresponding toppers and 25mm bases with corresponding toppers?

Here are two quick sketches I just made. What if the 25mm bases all had the detail built in, and if people wanted to, they could use them as toppers on 30mm extensions?

I guess it would make things twice as expensive for people who want the 30mm bases, but the bulk of people would probably want them for 25mm bases, so there wouldn't be as much tooling to make 25mm and 30mm versions of everything.

Everyone has plain round edges, it'd be nice to have some extra detail. That's one thing I always liked about Dust tactics figures, I like the little bolts going around the sides

Oh, and my package left the SLC sort facility today. I got the e-mail 3:30PM UK time.

So now I need to get on with some other stuff and get round to painting the Leviathan and the new arms as soon as they arrive.

Hope the UK HMRC don't extract the urine like they did with the Leviathan.

So has an Americans received their Mortis and arms yet? If so were you emailed about postage or did it just show up on your doorstep?

I have not talked with Paul at WGF all week, so I am not sure where they are on the shipping and if the tracking numbers are sent at the time of the shipment or if they are batching them to send them once they are done.... Roomer has it (unconfirmed) that all foreign orders have been shipped and they have been shipping US orders for the last day or two. You now know everything I do on the shipping staus

If facing mechanincs are going to matter C otherwise A or E.

I jumped for absolute joy when I got the package... but have not touched it since.
The spider with babies in the box was a little unexpected (And I quite enjoyed the scorched earth policy on that little critter!)

As for the model.
HOLEY GAK!! It comes with screws and everything. I am absolutely blown away with it... and that comes before unpacking properly.

Cannot wait to assemble this baby.

im jealous, mine is only 9 pounds. I got 2 tracking notification emails from UPS, I had a bit of a WTF did I order moment when I thought I was getting 2 9 pound boxes, then i saw it was the same tracking number on both and got sad when I figured out I didnt order enough

Well, my son just texted me to let me know that there was a "pretty big" box on the porch for me. Wonder what it could be, hmmmm?

Got my ups tracking numbers last week with a due date of Wednesday, but the tracking numbers still don even show that his has been picked up from wgf. Not looking good to get it soon.

Got my tracking numbers today, with a projected delivery of...the 28th!

Of course I'll be on a business trip then!

Got my stuff today. Unfortunately, my Wave 2 consists only of a HEL Cannon and Nova Cannon (but I think I will pick up a couple of 15mm Crusaders now).

My Wave 3, on the other hand, will be a hefty box as it will contain lots of Valkir and 15 APCs.
