I don't get why there are so many haters. I haven't seen the show myself, but I see no reason why it should inspire such disgust. Besides, we all play with toy soldiers. How is that any more mature than watching a show about ponies?

Okay, bad story: This kid in Texas apparently got booted out from his house by his Mom when she discovered a pocket of pony-related content. From what I can tell in the comments, his family is abusive, and his mother is paranoid and homophobic.
I feel for the kid, and the entire thing is almost enough to get me genuinely angry...
But, there are still people who think that videogames were made by Satan to corrupt the youth, and D&D players need to be put in jail or undergo forced exorcisms. Sadly, this really, really doesn't surprise me.
