Well, I am wrapping things up With my Warlord Titan, so I am looking to the future. I would eventually like to have all my armies to have a titan (or equivelent) so I am planning on what to do next.

A bizarre array of focusing mirrors and lenses turning my phrases into even more accurate clones of

MANTA. Good luck. You'll have to sculpt or carve curves like the rest of us Tau players. You will feel our pain.

I think I will rule out the Manta, it is just too curvy. I like the mega gargant idea. I won't have to make it look like anything, just orky.

I call Horse Hockey. You put up our choices, then rule out the manta because it's too hard? Come ON!

Just think of the absolutely INSANE modeling skills you would develop in the process! Cowboy up, bro! The best part about a steep learning curve is standing at the peak, having mastered it. Just take it easy, slowly, one day at a time, one piece at a time. Don't think of it as a manta that is too curved for you to finishe, but merely one piece that you are finishing today or tomorrow. And then the next piece. Repeat. Think of the journey, not the destination and all that. "No mind", if you like The Last Samurai.

We have faith in you.

Well, after a quick stop at my local hardware store I think I can do an Imperator (actually I think it will be a warmonger) farely easily (and cheap). I can use large pieces of plastic piping for the shins, stair-step shaped door stops for the toes, PVC pipe for the hips, plastic tubing for the volcano cannon, and pieces of plastic "For Sale" sign for detail work. The only real problems I will run into are the curves in the head and on the doomsday cannon. That might require me to sculpt wood again.:(

It's not a Great Gargant.

It's an Imperator!

Why not try a Lucius pattern Imperator? That way you'll have a completely unique piece, and won't have to worry about Mars-pattern style curves. In particular, the angles of the plates on a sentinel cab are ideal for a titan head once scaled up – just look at all the knight conversions out there.

Good luck!

I plan on doing both an Imperator and a Mega gargant at some point. Maybee I should just do them simulatiously. That way when I get tired of doing one, I can switch to the other. I will be building the Warmonger version of a Emporer Titan, so I have a quick question. Since it basically has four Hydra turrets on it's roof do you think it would look silly to sustitute in four whirlwind rocket launchers? It woud save me TONS of time and look great.

Hydra turrets or bust! Honestly, it's your project and if you like the way the Whirlwind pods look then you should do that. I think Dakka will just be happy to sit back and watch your posts and pics of it coming together.

Dude, for something like an Imperator, you may need to drop plastic altogether.

Know how to weld? You could start with inverted metal trashcans for the legs.
