the update above says that 'Those that received Heavy Infantry without the power packs will receive the back pack frames in a separate package and those will be sent out alongside the rest of the pledges over the next few weeks.'
email contact is thedamned@wargamesatlantic.com but probaby not worth chasing them until we get the 'all US orders shipped' update if you still haven't had the backpacks

Well, couldn't quite believe it but had my Damned delivered this week. Big pile of plastic which looks very nice, though don't really know what I'm going to do with it now. If anyone would like close ups of any sprues in particular let me know.

His fall was not a small one,
We did but built his pedestal,
A narrow and a tall one."

If you're looking at selling some I could be interested in picking up some Sci Fi Bad Guys
Pros:
- It's relatively simple, and would be easy to learn.
- 'Freeform' activation (you can activate any model except the last one you activated, rather than having set 'rounds' activating every model) provides some interesting tactical choices.
- 'Stress' level affects how well models perform.
Cons:
- D10 - Symbols for stats. Less of a problem once you're used to the game and playing it regularly, but a barrier to entry as you have to remember what is what.
- Stress increases and decreases are triggered by pretty much anything a model does, which is sort of realistic, but feels fiddly.
- Attacks are a straight 'roll above your stat' roll regardless of what you are attacking. So poking a basic trooper with a stick and poking an elite assassin with a stick carry the exact same level of difficulty.
- Models are automatically pushed backwards by successful attacks. I don't know why.
- LoS is from base edge to base edge, disregarding model height. Terrain is abstracted, with LoS dependent on the size of the terrain rather than the size of the models trying to see over it or standing on it.
- No team customisation. Troopers have apparently been fighting for up to several millenia, but never improve their skills. Or, at least, there is no mention of any customisation in the core rules - it's possible this is in the individual team documents.
- on a non-game related note, having to go through webstore checkout (including adding a billing address) to download a free PDF is a little annoying.
I will point out that my cons are entirely personal opinions rather than mechanical issues. Structurally, the game seems fine. I do wonder if the freeform activation structure will result in players mostly just using their captain or specialist models and ignoring the rest of the team for the bulk of the game, though.

For the Heavy Infantry, it looks like there's an extra "face plate" on the sprue alongside some of the heads you've used here that already have the face plate attached.
Do you know which of the other heads that extra face plate is supposed to attach to?

I used that for one I'm still painting. On the sprue, there's some helmet heads that are next to the one with the welding mask down, they have a bump on the forehead. the extra mask has a divot on the back that matches those bumps.
