Well, I did the largest battle of my life this weekend. It had a total of 43 superheavies in it.
This first picture shows the general setup. Good guys inside a fortress to the right, Bad Guys outside trying to storm it. Bad guys needed to bring down 10 sections of wall and claim at least one in order to win.

These next pictures are of (basically) what I brought, What was on the opposite side of the wall from me, and the Good Guy's Capital Imperialis. YOu can not imagine the look of surprise on the other side when my titan legion TOTALLY cleared the other side of the in the first turn. Massed D-strenth for the win.

wow... just wow! I hope there was some basic imperial guard infantry on the board too just to make them feel utterly insignificant compared to everything else there! How long did it take to play the game and who won in the end?

That capital Imp is amazing and just about the right dimensions. Did you guys even use infantry?

*sigh* I want an armorcast Warhound so badly. That battle looks like it was alot of fun. I wanna attend a huge Floor War at some point. Well, one that consists of more than just mostly my own stuff...

Yes, we used infantry. I have 10 transports full of men in that picture. If you look closely, the Necron Abitoir (the giant pyramid skimmer thing) has about 100 imperial Guardsmen taking up positions on it. On the other end of the wall there were over 300 dismounted orks. one of the most devistating moments in the game happened in the second turn when 40 terminators (with 16 assault cannons) deep struck beside my titans while an entire Legion of the damned army appeared in front of the titans and threw two warp grenades.

Odd you should say that. My converted salamander scout got its plastic autocannon (from the predator kit) stepped on and broken in half (by me). I just wasn't looking for it all the way in front of everything else.

What does the capitol imperialis do? And don't say "look badass" or "take up a crapload of space in my basement" cause we're all adults here and we took that as rendered.

Malfred has it about right. It is basically just a huge transport with one big cannon and a few smaller armaments. I think it had about 2,000 points of guard in it (tanks included).

I played in a game this weekend with my chaos titan, an eldar titan, and a tau manta on one side. the other side (DA and guard) had a baneblade as their only super heavy. 10,500 points per side. I thought that was a big game. Your game must have been a major undertaking. That looks like it was awsome!

No, it was a cardboard wip. Made to the same dimensions as the real deal so it's still huge. Here's a pic of it on the table so you can see how big it really is.

Hm. The cardboard Manta looks like a good start. I'd love to see a scratch-build built up off of that.
