Infiltraitor have you ever thought of using Bretonnian Men at Arms as a basis for ome more trench warefare looking traitors.
They have struck me as what the Zoicans from Necropolis looked like as they were discribed as having coats that were the colour of mustard and gas masks etc etc.
You just reminded me! I ordered some Men at Arms bits from Bits and Kits and they weren't delivered with the rest of the order. I'm gonna get on their case about that!! I guess that answers your question that I have thought about Men at Arms stuff

That guy with the garish paint job and high collar... could be a renegade planetary noble or something... I'm thinking like one of the House Lords from the Dan Abnett book "Necropolis". Who was the guy who unloaded his flechette pistol on an entire subway so that he could escape the artillery bombardment?

I really like armies of this type - cool conversions, a mix of figures of all sorts that work well together, pulled together with ingenuity rather than a ton of $. I like that they are not totally wacked out chaos types - more gritty bad guys.
Another thing about armies of this type is that they add to the 40K universe for me - its almost like a new army book coming out.
I think you've made a good call using smaller gun barrels on your tanks - I'd say you should keep it all one way or the other (Huge GW guns or realistic ones) - the mix is what usually looks strange. I do like the buried russ turret though.
A word on the 1/35 polish tankette - I just did one up to tow artillery. The tracks and running gear are a &^%$^%$! - tiny, fiddly, and composed of about a thousand pieces that don't go together very well (at least for me). There are alot of interesting bitz in the kit though, at least the version I got.
Keep up the good work!

Sweet jumping moses in a sweat suit, I go away for two weeks and I get mobbed! Sorry for the lack of updates, I've not really had time for 40k these last few weeks what with work, best-man duties, repainting my car and being a DIY bitch.
I think I scrub up well.

I can't remember his name but I know who you're on about. He's already pretty much painted as a Psyker now, no gaudy colours.

Yeah. I've read it a few times now just to make sure it wasn't something amazing I had made up in my head. It's one of the most flexible lists around I think.

Llamahead wrote:Some really nice stuff here I'm really enjoying the looted vehicles! Any chance of some advice about sealing the pigment powders?
I seal my stuff with Humbrol Spray Matt Varnish. It will react with some of the MiG fading pigments if you're using MiG stuff. I like the way it reacts as it looks like corrosion. Always best to test it on something you don't like. Brush on varnish will ruin the pigments as it just turns it into coloured oil.

Ah ha, thank you! That was what I was going for. I'm imagining him picking someone off in a tall building as it's an urban environment my guys are based in. Thought it better than the standard "FIRE AT THE HORIZON" pose.
FoxPhoenix135 wrote:Yup, those look like firewarrior legs.
Yes. He's right you know.
I don't have any pictures, I'm sorry. Girlfriend has both of my cameras as she's sorting out the pictures from the wedding we went to last week. I need them back as I'm wanting to sell stuff on eBay and on here soon.
Bought myself my first Valkyrie yesterday. Then later found out the V-22 kit I had my eye on has been discontinued. Have called every model store in the county to no avail. Will be ordering up some Elysians when I next get paid.
And I'm still after 6-8 Necron heads. Even if you just have one lying around I want to buy/trade it from you!

All the UK sites are sold out. An aussie one has some in stock, might order from there soon but they only have four. You raise a good point about Slann, will message 'im and ask where he lifts his ones from.
