I lucked out when I found mine , but a cheap way might be to pick up poorly painted necrons and cut them up .

I'm gonna have to do that. Seen a few cheapies on eBay I may bastardise.

Unbelievably so. Wasn't allowed to wear anything cool to the wedding

UPDATE!!

It's a laughable one, really. All I have are these, I do have some time to paint now so the ball should get rolling again soon.

Ahh the "duties" of real life... they always invade our modelling and gaming time!

My projects are going on hold now for a little bit as I'll be getting married myself next week! The In laws will also be with us for the next 10 days so my airbrush and compressor will get hidden away in a cupboard!

Great work as always though and I agree with Get to the Chopper that the sniper is a great figure with brilliant pose and character.

Sorry couldn't resist. I still think it will look awesome when its done though (I'm guessing roughly the same colours as a Messerschmitt 109 right?)

Its a shame about the windows, but the rest of the detailing on the Valkyrie is really nice. If I could venture a recommendation though for the weathering. I saw one Valkyrie offering a while back where all the weathering was done from front to back re-creating a sort of slipstream effect. It looked rather neat (I didn't use it thought because I'm too lazy to weather ).

I think painting the windows isnt a bad I dea if you dont want to spend time painting the crew , also allows you to use those bits for other things , which in a traitor guard army can come in handy . also the windows tend to fog up over time on a lot of cases .

I painted the windows for a number of reasons, someone has touched on it in a later post so I shall answer it there. But I will whack you a PM shortly, just got some monitory issues to work out with the bank. Stealing my sh!t, they don't know who they're messin' with!

Yep, the BF109 is to be my muse with this piece.

There you go. I wanted the bits for my guardsmen. Plus, I like the idea of not being able to see the crew as it makes it a little more sinister.

Just painting the interior at the moment. More pictures to come!

Objective? I put two bases up there; one sniper and one valkyrie

I think what you meant to say was "I WILL do a blog sometime soon". If they're anything like your Fists, they'll be great.

Was rummaging through my bitz-corner and found out I have enough to make the following:

3x Lascannon teams
4x Mortar teams
2x Missile teams
2x Heavy bolter teams
2x Heavy stubber teams
2x Snipers

That's on top of what I have already (1x mortar, 1x autocannon, 2x missile launchers and 2x snipers). I've made one of the new mortar teams and done a base for a heavy bolter team. Also put together a lascannon with a shield (not GW standard).

I have my first proper game with these guys on Tuesday (I hope) at my local GW. Gotta get my paint on over this weekend. Will add pics on Sunday/Monday of minis and game pics on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Its a great base, but i cant help wondering why a jag would be in a battlefield, although i suppose, now that i think of it, its entirely plausible and feasible. You know what, just ignore that sentence altogether. Great base infilTRAITOR!!!!

another question for the Mighty Infiltrator, Master of the Renegades: I was planning on doing a Renegade-style Death Korps of Krieg group, and later on some Cadians, and a few Catachans.

anyways, I was looking on FW and saw a Krieg set that had a bunch of guardsmen to put into a Gorgon. you think that could work for my Krieg unit? DEATH KORPS OF KRIEG - INFANTRY SQUADS FOR GORGON <<<that's what the set is called if you don't know wat I'm talking about.>

The hardest part of that would be to get rid of the imperial iconography as it's small and horrid on the FW minis. Other than that, should work.

NEVAH!!!!!

And here's some more...

UPDATE!! Sort of.

I had planned on having my first game with these guys Tuesday just gone until I actually sat down and tried to work out a list to use. It's all well and good oogling the Vraks rules but it's not until you get out that pen and paper and have to decipher each little bit of rule that you realise 'hang on, am I going to have enough for this?' It turned out that I didn't. So, in an effort to see what I actually need to do - instead of milling around on odd projects - I've decided to take some snaps of each squad/vehicle I want to include in my list so I can see the gaps and what needs tidying up. I'm hoping to get it all done by Tuesday but I very much doubt I will.

Headquarters

1x Exalted Champion - Plasma Pistol, Carapace Armour, Bionics and Master Crafted Weapon
4x Bodyguard - Carapace Armour, 3x Boltguns (No hellguns in Vraks list :( ), 1x Voxpack and 1x Flamer

Troops

Renegade Militia Platoon Command Squad

1x Champion - Bolt Pistol, Power Hammer and Carapace Armour
4x Renegades - 1x Voxpack and 1x Meltagun

Squad One

1x Veteran - Laspistol and Power Axe
9x Renegades - 1x Plasma Gun

Squad Two

1x Veteran - Laspistol and Power Sword
9x Renegades - 1x Flamer

Renegade Militia Mechanised Platoon Command Squad

4x Renegades - 1x Voxpack
0x Champion - Chaos Banner, Carapace Armour and Power Fist

Mechanised Militia Squad One

1x Veteran - Power Sword
9x Renegades - 1x Flamer
1x Chimera - Autocannon, Heavy Stubber, Heavy Flamer (Soon to add Track Guards)

Mechanised Militia Squad Two

1x Veteran - Boltpistol
9x Renegades - 1x Flamer
1x Chimera - Multilaser, Heavy Bolter and Track Guards

Mechanised Militia Squad Three

1x Veteran - Boltpistol and Power Sword
2x Renegades

Obviously now a bit thin on the ground. Need to make the rest of my guys up

Fast Attack

1x Hellhound - Heavy Bolter, RTM Dozer, Extra Armour

3x Sentinels - 2x Autocannons, 1x Lascannon, 1x Extra Armour

I need help with this one. Tore apart one of my beloved Heavy Sentinels to make a 3rd normal sentinel and now I can't seem to get it looking right.

Heavy Support

Heavy Weapons Platoon Command Squad

1x Champion - Boltpistol, Power Axe and Carapace Armour
1x Autocannon Team
1x Vox Renegade
1x Veteran - Sniper Rifle

Fire Support Squad

1x Autocannon
1x Heavy Bolter
1x Heavy Stubber

Anti-Armour Squad

2x Missile Launchers
1x Lascannon

Mortar Squad

3x Mortar

Griffon

1x Griffon - Track Guards

Leman Russ Vanquisher

Elites

Alpha Legion Squad

5x Chaos Space Marines - 1x Heavy Bolter, 1x Melta.

Disciples of Xaphan (Stormtroopers)

1x Champion - Bolter, Bionics
9x Disciples - 1x Grenade Launcher and 1x Meltagun
1x Valkyrie Transport

I have ordered the stuff from ForgeWorld for my Disciples. Just after Necron heads to make them.

And I have finished the Valkyrie Base!

First off the Valkyrie base just looks totally awesome. As do all the finished models in the individual troop/vehicle entries. This being my favourite squad:

Second, it looks like you have alot of infantry/heavy weapon teams to finish, so best of luck with that.

I'll go check out/vote on your gallery in due course.

And lastly if I find the fiend who is masquerading your work as his own I will alert you..
