Love all the models, especially that chimera with the ork trukk bits on the front. Valk base looks great too.
I'm not such a huge fan of the commander on his giant built up base though, but then again I'm not a big fan of built up bases in any form.

I forgot to put in the loader for the autocannon. Still got a lot to do with that squad. And yes, lots of teams to finish. Got to find the time soon as I start Uni a week Monday.

Chimera with Ork Trukk bits?? Eh what?? Do you mean the half-track? And the base is like that as it was for a competition, which I won thank you very much I suppose it sorta makes you aware that he is the big cheese.

deadly chicken wrote:where did you get the rules for these builds from?
At first I thought I could design my army around the new Guard 'dex and then apply the Vraks rules directly to what I have built. Turns out that wasn't entirely possible as the structure is slightly different but enough to mean ripping off weapons. To sum up, the rules I'm using are the Vraks army list from Imperial Armour 5-7.
They would suit a Chaos Guard army quite well, I would imagine. But, you over-estimate my skill with greenstuff

Again, TJBM. Valk should be coming together next week. Just finished the making a nose mounted multi-laser for it for a 360 arch of fire.
I bought some Space Hulk genestealers from Bits and Kits to give me something different to paint but I'm not sure if I've got the time now. Also, they still haven't shipped me a head I quite need even after chasing it up and reminding them to send it in my recent order. Typical.
I will also be selling some 40k stuff next week with some OOP stuff, old awful stuff and bits I'm never gonna use again. If anybody has any requests and might be interested in anything just send me a PM and I will have a look in my bits-corner and chuck it up. If I'm in a good mood I may even offer a Dakka discount

I had a whole bunch of alerts from this thread because some people have been spamming it. I had to do some deletes and stuff to tidy it up.
Spamming the forums is against the rules.
P&M Blogs forum is meant for users to have a thread where they can showcase long-term projects and get legitimate comment and criticism. In the long run, a thread like this can become a great resource for other users to get inspiration and and insight into creative thinking. Consequently, moderators take a particularly hard view of spam in these thread. It's rude to the owner of the thread and it spoils the usefulness of the thread for the future.
The definition of spamming isn't hard and fast because one man's piece of spam may be another man's legitimate comment. However, repeating large chunks of text or pictures is nearly always spamming.
In P&M, off-hand remarks which interrupt the thread are usually spam; the kind of remarks which would be fine in News or another short-lived thread.
Please note that users can attract warnings for spam, and on repeat offences there is an escalating series of temporary bans.
Mod out.

It doesn't upset me or anything I just don't believe I've done anything to attract any malicious attention on here. Always tried to help and make new friends. Oh well, I'll just have to cave in their skulls with pure thought!
To be fair, there are bits on Slipknots (numerous past and present) masks that are doable and would look good on a pure Chaos Guard force. And I'm gonna have a look at my metal Cadians later and see if I can't do some GS to it. STAHLHELM 4tW!

I had loads of these guys a few years back. I traded them all in for an old Panzer kit and a stack of bits. I regret it now as I wouldn't mind them myself
As for meltaguns, I know I have a few. One is earmarked for my guys but I'm sure I have more. Even have sentinel multi-meltas from FW I'm never gonna use

TJBM!
I have managed to liberate some Sentinel bits for my Lascannon one (Actual Sentinel Lascannon, Canopy Armour, etc). Ripped off the shin armour. Just need to spray the new bits and shove it on. Also didn't know the new Sentinel had plastic autocannons. Spent ages shaving off the eagles from the old metal ones.

Because I wanted a squadron of three sentinels. I had the bits to order up another Elysian sentinel but Forge World have now gone and changed it from a plastic upgrade kit to a full plastic and resin kit and thus added another £10 on to the cost. I'm not one who wants to pay £10 for something I already have so I opted to demolish one of my Heavies and use it as the squadron leader.
The box mag for the sniper is from a space marine storm bolter. I think the one found on the vehicle accessory sprue. Just shaved it into shape.

Infil, as per usual, your blog is an inspiration. I too have gaps in my vraks army. And all the others.
I'm going for 400 points in each army - that way our camapign can begin with the right combatants etc. It also means I now have a definate target for painting the little men and only have four or five vehicles to do.
So the remaining million or so points worth of grey plastic can wait - It's a load off my mind.
