Good on you Elmir, they look perfect for AoS. There's quite a lot there too, well done!

So I settled on a scheme for my Sylvaneth and am working out the implementation of it. For my dryads I started with celestra grey, a single layer of abaddon black around the ends of the limbs (to allow some of the grey to shoe through) and castellan green in between. Then went over the whole thing with camoshade.

In the end, the green wash did a much better job blending the three distinct colours than I had anticipated.

Now I'm bringing those three distinct tones back by dry brushing those areas with ulthuan grey, elysian green, and eshin grey, that last one is proving too dark to really notice so I'm going to experiment with stormvermin fur and see how that looks.

The leftmost ones were done black, then green, then white, the rightmost were white, green, then black, and the ones in between were different asymmetrical orders or extra white or black layers as touchups.

The ones on the right were easiest to do but the contrast around the face is really harsh, lefty is clearly much softer than the rest and I ended up retiring that brush.

Working on some Slaanesh Hellstrider models at the moment, then back to my Blades of Khorne 2500pt Cult of Skarbrand list.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Those are some real solid blood knight conversions, I bet a lot of work went into those to get the details crisp. My favorite though is the king holding the bone, I'm sure in his head it's quite an awe to behold such a fine weapon of power.

I currently have a 1500pt Gutbuster force that I speed painted last year at this time. Now, I want to build another force but I can't decide what I want to do. I don't want another destruction force so plan on doing something from Order, Chaos Or Death. I just cant decide what I would want to do.

My current 3 choices are
Tzeentch Mortals
Freeguild Regiment
Soulblight Vampires

I'm leaning towards a 1000pt force of Tzeentch mostly because I have a few Chaos Warriors I can practice painting on...Ugg...decisions.

Still working through Blades of Khorne. Got 60 Bloodreavers to paint (getting yelled at by my wife that unpainted models look like crap on the field, and that I need to paint them quick).

Hi all,

I try to maintain my plog on the P&M Blog threads, but it doesn't seem to get much interest. Not sure if that's because the focus is more on 40K as opposed to Siggers. Figured I might feed my painting progress in here instead!

My first concept model for my Son's of Breton Stormchamber. His Grandblade is still being messed around with.

Many thanks,

the bretonnian head on a stormcast is a great idea and i can picture how neat it would look on his head just from your guy holding it.

Spoiler:
That's a nice Bretonnian-Stormcast conversion there, and the color scheme compliments it well.

Indeed, an excellent conversion piece!

Your friend's a hero.

You really did an amazing job with those.(makes my decision to start collecting Death seem a very good idea)

I’ve now got to paint them. Still not sure how I’m going to do it. And in more ways than one.

Love those guys, are you going to do a "by the book" force or make something of your own?

@ Baron Klatz

Thank you! I’m hoping to paint up my own scheme. Possibly using green, since it’s not featured in any of the named ports. Green is steampunk right?

Green can be steampunk, especially if you're going for an army theme like the soldiers in "Castle in the Sky".

You can also be clever and have their top-halves green and justify it as realm of life camoflauge so airborne enemies and predators flying above them will just see the green match the forests and jungles below.

What is a good site besides Dakka to use for hosting pic now that photobucket is a pain in the butt now so I can show my conversions and take part again on this awesome thread.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Hmm, have you looked at imgur? I think that's the best alternative.

I use Deviantart myself, the folders and picture submission set-up is pretty nice there.

No problem, looking forward to seeing your models.

(If you do go Deviantart then make sure to join the Gamesworkshop group, you can upload your model pictures for fellow hobbyists to see while getting updates on warhammer art and models they post. Seeing a guy convert his Bloodbound to Pyramid heads from Silent Hill is one such reason. )

Any particular reason you don't want to use Dakka's own gallery? It's incredibly simple and you can still post images from the gallery into any other groups or pages you happen to frequent. It also means you can link your images directly the gallery page, so people can click on them and be taken straight to the image where they can vote/comment.

Might be the same reason I haven't used it. We didn't know it was a thing.
