A demon prince (or 2) are a good start and get included in almost any build of a CSM list. A pair of plastic fantasy dragon wings will also make you love him to death.
Oblits are a good option and set you apart from a regular marine dex with spiky armor. Convert them out of the new chaos spawn plastic kit to save money and have really cool chaosy looking oblits.
The rest depends on how you like to play.
Raptors can give you mobiltiy (large squad for assaulting troops, smaller squad with 2 melta for tank hunting).
A squad or two of cult marines can up the punch of the list . Noise marines for move and shoot, + ap 3 flamer of doom and pinning st 8 heavy weapon, Nurlge for stay around forever squads with feel no pain, khorne for an assualty plethora of attacks, or tzeench for marines with 5+ invul saves and ap 3 bolters and a sorcerer to add some fun to the mix. And my advice is to not bother with icon bearers. Go cult or leave them basic.
Terminators can be fun too, and they are the cheapest version in the game at only 30 points basic. They are also the most customizable and giving a squad of terms combi plas only ups them by 5 pts per model. DS and open fire with this at enemy terms, or vehicles side/rear armor and what you are shooting at is really dead.
But really, you will get a ton of use out of a winged prince and at least one squad of oblits. After you use them a bit you can decide if you want to go 2 princes and more squads of oblits. Do you have a preference of play styles (stand and shoot, in your face assault, mixed shoot and assault)? That will really help guide any specific suggestions.

my favorite playing style is getting the enemy in shooting range and then opening fire with everything i got as i slowly march towards them.
i love the possesed but as a WFB player i am gretaly interested in the vehicle aspect of the game.
also does chaos do good with warp spells?

You will love a lash prince or sorcerer then. Coupled with opblits and thier heavy plasma you can pull units out of cover and group them in base to base and shoot till it hurts. Noise marines and Thousand sons are also good for that role ... noise marines get bolters with assault 2, heavy 3 and Thousand sons get the ap 3 bolters, plus a high strength psychic shot from the sorcerer (or multiple lower strength shots if you go that route).
I play assaulty, so I'll let some others chime in about better shooty builds.

At the 1500 pts level or higher, I'd go for 2 lash HQs (I run a Sorcerer on a bike and a winged DP) and 3x2 Obliterators.
Troop choice is personal preference, 2x8 Plague or Noise Marines in Rhinos are my favorites.

Correct. No more 0-1 Obliterators. Meaning, yup, you can have 9 of 'em.
