Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Totally awsome, an improvement over the metal ones to be sure.

Mmmm, boxy. Like the cluster of rokkits

And that's the new plastic warboss? A bit 2D but groovy all the same.

Interesting! Can't say they don't make me wonder about collecting an Ork army, the warboss's power claw doesn't look very big

Thanks Iorek!

What's the pic from, 5th Ed Box contents? The Warboss looks like a conversion, but it's different enough to maybe be a new model. I also see Kanz, tell me I'm getting Plastic Kanz in the starter set.

Supposedly that is in fact the new plastic warboss as well.

I believe I read on Seer that the picture was an example of how you could add a few units to the starter box for an army. No plastic Kans = |.

Thanks for posting this. Those look sweet.

I'm still torn, but this is really looking like the best time to get back into 40k...

That warboss harks back to second edition style orks to some extent. Very interesting.

Is it just me, or does the warboss look a lil' bit small?? I was hoping for something a little bigger.

*shrug* You can always use him as a nob if he's too small for your tastes.

I think that's just wishful thinking, the shotguns on his back are a clear tie-in with the older metal boss.

Too bad, I think he has such a weeny klaw... But he's not that small, look at his feet, his base, and then judge it.

Me likey. Very cool. Hope they release them separately to the starterbox.

np doubt they will - does $25 USD each seem cheap enough?

Wonderfully overpriced, but anyone with half a brain buys from discounters these days anyway.

That said, they'll no doubt do a splash '3 per box' release for a while, which'll be real generous of them.

I'll just buy the starter box. I don't really need any more Space Marines, but a few more never hurt, right? I may not buy it right away though, as the new big rulebook has tempted me, tempted me sorely.

I'm just waiting to see what else is in the Starterbox.

The presence of a new Marine Commander has me interested (I love unique models), plus the Termies and Dread sound interesting.

But what I really want to know is what else is in it? I bought the old one for the crashed shuttle and spore mines, and swapped the Marines for more 'Nids. I hope this has something cool in it besides just models.

Yeah, some terrain pieces would be very nice. Of course, I have a feeling that the dreadnought is going to end up as terrain...

Nice! I'd love to know where this picture came from originally! Whoever took it has obviously seen the rest of the magazine or whatever it came from and so probably has seen images of the whole of the box set models. It must be only a few days before the rest of the images of the contents get leaked onto the internet....

I feel sorry for anyone who bought the metal koptas recently.

The Warboss looks decent, but as Boss_Salvage said, a little too 2D.

A little too 2D, certainly, but the detail looks good - and that makes him an ideal base for conversions. I think we may see a serious upshoot in Biker Boss conversions (if that wasn't already the done thing).

Stupid looking, it's fitting for orks... rotors with armor patches, what a joke. LOL

Meh. But I've never been a fan of the orcs personally. Too "cartoony" for me. It is an improvement over the old sculpt though. I also agree that the warboss looks a little small.

I dunno if this is a starterbox pic, as those as the tops of Kanz in the foreground and I doubt they're in the new box.
