Tactics. The word is tactics.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

On topic. I've translated your OP as best I could.
Yes there are tactics in 40k, its quite obvious after you play several games as to what tactics there are and what you can use. For example you know that a SMscout squad won't stand much chance in hand-to-hand against a squad of Choas terminators, so you use tactics to keep them away from the Terminators.

If he approaches your squad then you move them, thats tactics.

If you have a devastaor squad with long range weapons stick them on the highest ground you can so you can use their weapons to best effect.

Now before anyone rips on me for this crappy example I have to say I was truely uninspired whilst typing this.

Edit (changed a mispelled/incorrect word)

It's a good, example, not a crappy one, because it is so simple. Simple counter-examples are best.

ghostmaker, one punctuation mark at the end of each sentence is enough. Two if you're extremely excited.

"Pffft" indicates soda coming out of my nose because you think 13th Co. is a cheesy list.

There are lots of tactics available to 40k players. It begins with army building. In theory at least, you should design your army with some sort of basic battle plan in mind. Making a mechanized list that is designed to move up to the enemy quickly, unload its units, shoot at close range, and then follow up with some hand to hand units would be one example. A marine version of this might include several tac squads in rhinos backed up by some jump packing assault marines. Now the real nuts and bolts of tactics comes into play once you are on the field and you have to deal with your opponent. Sticking with the mechanized marine example, one viable tactic would be to position the rhinos (empty ones ideally) between the marines and long range enemy shooting in order to block line of sight to the infantry. Another might be to deploy the majority of the marine force along one flank so that the enemy is overwhelmed on one side and can’t bring all of their force to bear. Choosing which enemy units to attack with the various units in your army is another form of tactics. As mentioned by another poster, assaulting chaos terminators with space marine scouts is a poor plan but assaulting the same terminators with eldar howling banshees isn’t a bad idea. Knowing where your units will perform best and then maneuvering them into those positions is key and there are lots of ways to do it. There are also lots of ways to defend against it so it is important to be able to do both. Lots of threads in this forum contain a wealth of tactical information (as Mannahnin has pointed out) if you want it. In addition, if there are any specific situations that you don’t see covered in recent threads, feel free to ask for advice on the topic or share any advice that you may have to give.

Threads should be like skirts: long enough to cover what's important but short enough to keep it interesting.

I "think" you need to reread your rules, play some proper games, and learn to punctuate.

It's great that after your first rereading (or was it simply a first reading?) of the rules, you realised that 6 points and 10 points are not the same thing, but there is more you're missing. Part of being a Marine is having a 3+ armour save. Another part of it is having a gun. Do Wolves have either of those things?

Does dyslexia prevent you from telling a question mark from a full-stop/period? I mean, really:
K thank you very much ? ? ?

What, you don't know if you're thankful or not? No one cares about a typo or misspelling here and there, but as I said on another thread, your posts can genuinely be difficult to read (and even when they aren't, they're annoying). Try a little harder.

Agree with t-C. If you want some sound advice/discussion, please work on your posting a little bit so that we can actually figure out what you are talking about.

And 13th company is not Tier 1. (What do we even mean when we say that) Is it even still GT legal? LATD players I'm lookin' at you!
