alrighty, seeing as eldar are my primary army and i want to add some to it i wanted to see what exactly i should spend my money on. What i already have is

1 farseer
5 warlocks
6 fire dragons including one exarch
1 wave serpent
8 dire avengers including one exarch
10 dire avengers including one exarch
5 dark reapers one green-stuffed as exarch
1 fire prism

So im mainly just wondering what i should add next, i was thinking something for assaulting. And maybe some fast attack in the form of some shining spears and an autarch. Tell me what you think, any help is very welcome.

Harlequins are the uber assault unit right now, but will lose some of their luster when v5 hits as the rend goes to the wound roll not the to hit roll. They will still be good, but not as good. They need a ride to be effective or have to upgrade the special character that makes it harder to spot them.

Banshees and scorps are next in line for favorite assault troops. Banshees fare better when their target is doomed and heavily armored. They also need a ride to be used well in most circumstances. Scorpians work well against most comers due to sheer number of attacks, can infiltrate with the right upgrade and can get a st 6 power claw.

I personally like one large or two small warp spider units for light vehicle hunting and light infantry hunting, but some disagree with me on this one.

Spears are a common choice, but they have never really done much for me, so I'll let someone who has used them efffectivly chime in on that one.

I also don't like reapers much ... but then I usually field two wraithlords and a falcon as my HS choices so ... different approach to supporting my infantry horde.

Overall my suggestion would be Scorpians. In V5 infiltrating from the side edges is going to play with yoru opponents whole stratagy and the scorps have the most versatility against the most enemy troops.

However you may want to wait for someone else to chip in, I mostly run shooty eldar and only use close combat troops as counter charge.

You should plan for the 5th ed.
From my signature, you will find my GT Eldar army which did very well this season.
But its designed for the 4th ed.
